Maybe after the car wreck, but not before. Williams literally brought White to tears and had him losing his mind on the sideline a time or two.

White was an all timer. Arguably the best ever. But he couldn't solve Erik Williams in his prime.

EDIT: Imo, if Erik Williams didn't have that car wreck, he was a shoo in for the HOF and in the argument for the best Olineman in our history. He played with both skill and savagery rarely ever saw in any player.

Then the Dallas haters that vote for the HoF would have been like, "WHY DIDN'T HE PLAY LT IF HE WAS SO GOOD?"

That is the Buffalo approach, which is different from sacrificing your future for a one time shot like the Rams.
