Same. Had to see his garbage vs us last week to believe itI would have taken Linderbaum but it is funny to see Evan Neal at the bottom there.

Based on need and position importance I take Tyler Smith above all the Oline in this draft at this point.I would have taken Linderbaum but it is funny to see Evan Neal at the bottom there.
He got his ass whupping todayBased on need and position importance I take Tyler Smith above all the Oline in this draft at this point.
Not too upset considering it was Aaron Donald. He got his ass whupping today
Probably a good thing. He got a serving of humble pie to keep him from getting too comfortable, and it happened in a game where it didn't cost us a win.He got his ass whupping today
He did but it was one on one against Aaron Donald. I'll give a rookie a little slack for that.He got his ass whupping today
It will serve him well. I imagine Reggie White schooled Larry Allen and or Erik Williams a time or 2. Only served to make them better players.Probably a good thing. He got a serving of humble pie to keep him from getting too comfortable, and it happened in a game where it didn't cost us a win.
Maybe after the car wreck, but not before. Williams literally brought White to tears and had him losing his mind on the sideline a time or two.It will serve him well. I imagine Reggie White schooled Larry Allen and or Erik Williams a time or 2. Only served to make them better players.
No hesitation from #28Maybe after the car wreck, but not before. Williams literally brought White to tears and had him losing his mind on the sideline a time or two.
White was an all timer. Arguably the best ever. But he couldn't solve Erik Williams in his prime.
EDIT: Imo, if Erik Williams didn't have that car wreck, he was a shoo in for the HOF and in the argument for the best Olineman in our history. He played with both skill and savagery rarely ever saw in any player.
I have a question I'll put here... Is Bones Fassel a wizard? How are we blocking all these kicks since he got here? Couldn't find it in a quick search, but wasn't his first block here the first in years? I mean this is usually a rare thing. And now we block two or three a year. Plus when still does. you look at them, they aren't usually super complex. Opposing ST coaches spend hours and hours watching film to make sure this doesn't happen but it still does. So how is he making this happen?
That's true, some head coaches are so risk averse they don't want to try. But it's such a huge, game-changing play I have to think more would do it if they could.I think it's balls. I think most coaches are afraid of roughing the punter or something that puts them in a bad spot and/or gives the opponent another life. It's bitten Fassell in the ass a couple times, but he's more willing to risk bringing pressure than most.
Yup.Maybe after the car wreck, but not before. Williams literally brought White to tears and had him losing his mind on the sideline a time or two.

I was implying I "would have" taken Linderbaum, ie, at the time.Based on need and position importance I take Tyler Smith above all the Oline in this draft at this point.
And yet we got three lousy points out of ours. That's true, some head coaches are so risk averse they don't want to try. But it's such a huge, game-changing play I have to think more would do it if they could.
George on the Ticket has a son who was a college long snapper so he watches ST closely and last week he gave Bones credit for scheming a DL taking out a blocker so Armstrong could get free. But the one yesterday and the Gifford one vs New England last year were basically straight up the gut. I don't see how that's possible with as much as kick and punt units are drilled on this. Especially like against a Belichick team when he particularly loves the kicking game.
I'm loving it though. Probably my favorite plays possible in a game because they have such a huge impact.
I think you can mark LT off the list because I dont think they will move Tyler Smith back inside if Tyron retires. They have said all along that they drafted him as the future LT. That actually makes it much easier as I think interior line is easier to find.I was implying I "would have" taken Linderbaum, ie, at the time.
It's much closer now. I do really think a stud center is a need for us, I continue to be not quite sold on Biadasz.
I was hoping Tyron Smith had more seasons, he's still just 31. Elite tackles often play to their mid to late 30s. But if he's done then I guess LT Is also a super need.
Ironically we also probably need to start thinking about Martin's future soon too.
I really do think that we need to start thinking more proactively instead of reactively. If I was the Cowboys I'd be shopping my first round pick for a future first and second, I'd shop my second for a future second and third, etc. The defense is young and Prescott certainly isn't old. We have time. We need to stop scrambling for try to plug every leak for the coming season. We should punt a draft sometime to get extra assets for the future, that's how you really build a winner. You have to win asset transactions somewhere. The Rams did it by finding free agents they could afford and by winning trades for veterans. We hate that approach, well, ok, but then you can't just sit back and tee it up with your 1 pick per round and expect to get ahead. Everyone drafts at a level close enough to you that you can't separate, you gotta find value somewhere.
Yeah, that's what I was saying, I was following up "center is a huge need for us, more than guard," with "But I guess if Tyron Smith is done, so was LT, and Tyler Smith fills that."I think you can mark LT off the list because I dont think they will move Tyler Smith back inside if Tyron retires. They have said all along that they drafted him as the future LT. That actually makes it much easier as I think interior line is easier to find.
Yes, we had one of those kind of coaches for a decade. That's true, some head coaches are so risk averse they don't want to try.
Ok, this makes more sense. Yeah, I wasn't a big Tyler Smith in the first before the draft started kind of guy. I don't think anyone was except some NFL teams.I was implying I "would have" taken Linderbaum, ie, at the time.
