BTW, I remember suspecting way back when Garrett took over that the offense had way too many moving parts, because I'd never seen so many QB/WR miscommunications. The only way that happens is to have QB and WR reading things on the fly and not reading it the same way. You could just see Mr Ivy League overcomplicating things to show how smart he was. And when it worked, it was good. But when it was bad, you get passes to nowhere and INTs. Grier even said at camp that this was one of the most complicated offenses he'd ever been in.

Turns out Romo's improvising is what saved this offense for years, until they stumbled onto the great OL.

Look, I know the Jones' won't change completely, but I'm really interested in seeing how things will play out if this season continues to go into the shitter.

The public pressure and fan negativity has NEVER been this bad, and we're barely in week 1.

I want to see how they're doing after 3 months of constantly being questioned about how they do things along with dealing with the backlash of finally pissing off a fan base that up to this point had been blindly loyal.

Here's the big misconception about Jerry Jones:

Nothing is going to make him change per se, but he does HATE constantly being questioned about needing to change their approach.

Whenever the Cowboys go through bad seasons like this one (2010, 2015, etc), that's when the questions come about whether the Cowboys need to reevaluate how they are doing things. And they come more frequently because the Cowboys keep losing in those types of seasons. And you can see how impatient and snappy Jerry gets with each passing week having to address those questions.

Look no further than Tim McMahon going from covering the Cowboys to being a two-bit NBA reporter. :lol

A significant portion of the fan base has lost its patience for how this family does things and now other athletes and media outlets and such that didn't pay attention before are starting to pay attention now.

The pressure has never been greater than it is going to be this season and I'm really curious to see how they handle it.

I hope those fuckers can't even sleep at night and find coming to work to be miserable.

I was about 8 years too early with CFR.

Yeah, that actually might have a chance to take off now because even our dumbest fans are finally losing it.

Like I said, the pressure, frustration, and negative perception has never been greater than it's going to be this season so let's see how many winks and Jerry-isms we get from that old bastard come November.

I'd like the media to focus on the failures of the GM.

Why did he force the inexperienced OC on the HC?

It would be a waste of energy. Nothing will ever change. You know this to be true.

It worked out to the tune of 10 years with Garrett. In Jones’ mind, that is success. Each losing season could be excused.

Attack the GM, he has failed the team for too long now.

Yeah, there's no way I would put that much energy into this stupid ass fanbase again.

And why is that a reoccurring theme?

Zimmer on Parcells, Garrett on Wade, Moore on McCarthy, etc.

Why don't you let your HC determine, without input, who he does and doesn't want on his staff?

Our GM likes the pain.
It's bullshit.

Again, I don't think it'll create change, but that stuff annoys the hell out of him.

I want to see how this wears on them as the season goes on and while I know it won't create change, I do hope at the very least that the constant questioning and criticism makes them miserable.

Because then you cannot hold the stage. They want that ability to home-grow even the fucking coaches.

He doesn't like his football acumen to be questioned, heat needs to be applied now.

Like you mentioned about Zimmer being forced into a 3-4...that's not really what happened.

Zimmer was forced on Parcells because of this GM who thinks he needs continuity during a coaching change for some reason.

One thing I have learned about Jerry Jones is that his anger is fleeting, then he bargains with himself. I think he relishes the difficult questions because there is the relevance trade off.

Because aren't you really the GM only because you own the team? Who would hire you to operate a football team with your credentials?

Exactly, and that's why he gets chippier and less tolerant with each passing week.

He won't be doing his salesman pitch come early November if we're sitting there with 6 losses already.
