To defend Zeke's honor. What’s the relevance of this contrived stat? It’s weird connecting explosive run to per-game.

Some stats are just so statistical that they lose connection to reality. To defend Zeke's honor.
Random stat contrived to try and say Pollard won't be much use for a couple weeks. Might as well throw this in the trash. I think he is just trying to point out that Pollard isn't capable of being a lead back from week to week. Again, the stat he is using is just random trash. What’s the relevance of this contrived stat? It’s weird connecting explosive run to per-game, especially after a sample size of two pairs of games
Is Joey insinuating benching Tony Pollard for 2 games and he’ll be due for explosive in the third? Or is he saying for the next two games to have Prescott airing it 50 times?
especially redonkulous considering Joey is isolating 15+ yard gains, as if multiple 10-yard gains are insignificant.Random stat contrived to try and say Pollard won't be much use for a couple weeks. Who hacked your account?2-7.
MAYBE 3-6 if we get some breaks.
My bad.Who hacked your account?
I am confused by your tactics. My bad.
Too homerish for this board? I'll try harder.

Hai, guyz!!! Since Dak Prescott typically has a regression after a 3-TD passing game, the next time he throws 2 TDs in a game, we should stop red zone passing for the game’s remainder. Totally prevented a letdown game!
Now, captain of the Gameday Chatter W-L thread, that’s different.
What would Zeke do after a 54 yard TD run?
There you go. His max is 30 plays.
What would Zeke do after a 54 yard TD run?
We'll never know.

He wasn't getting many chances last year. They preferred to run Sprained Knee Zeke out there instead.
I bet it isn't another 2.3 games before he has a 12 yard run this time.
While true, he also doesn't need to be a backup to a RB whose prime was 5 years ago. He's saying he's not a bell cow and is less effective the more touches he gets.
Which is true.
Not to be trite, but we go as he goes.To defend Zeke's honor.
Your homerism gives me diarrhea.2-7.
MAYBE 3-6 if we get some breaks.
The philosophy of not wearing down Pollard is very apt, you could tell that he was done halfway through that 50+ yard TD. There's no way he can handle 20 carries a game throughout the regular season, but once the playoffs get here we need to ride him into ground since we're looking at an absolute max of 4 games.
I'm also curious what they define as a "heavy" workload game. 15 touches? Because that has happened so few times in a fairly short career. Your sample size probably needs to be a bit bigger.
This is about as dumb of a statistic as saying each of the last 3 weeks Pollards carries have increased. Each of those increases has led to a higher YPC. So clearly the more carries Pollard gets the more productive he is on a per carry basis...
I don’t disagree with your statement, but Joey’s using weakly-relevant stats to support this statement. He's saying he's not a bell cow and is less effective the more touches he gets.
Which is true.
I don’t believe anyone here is clamoring for 20+ carries for Pollard, though, which is why much of this anti-Pollard criticism is irrelevant. The philosophy of not wearing down Pollard is very apt, you could tell that he was done halfway through that 50+ yard TD. Yea I think 60/40 is more realistic since 70% of 30 carries is 21 and I wouldn't want Pollard carrying that load on a near weekly basis, but I agree that the touches should lean towards Pollard.I don’t believe anyone here is clamoring for 20+ carries for Pollard, though, which is why much of this anti-Pollard criticism is irrelevant.
The clamor is for Thunder & Lightning split 70/30 with Lightning getting 70.
Yes, 70/30 is an approximate based off 20 carry total (for RBs) since none of us are demanding 20+ for Pollard and excludes obvious late game time-burning with the lead. We also have the luxury of a few touches going to Prescott or WRsYea I think 60/40 is more realistic since 70% of 30 carries is 21 and I wouldn't want Pollard carrying that load on a near weekly basis, but I agree that the touches should lean towards Pollard.
