Just got an espn alert. Quinn set to interview Denver, Miami, Chicago and Minnesota. If we lose Quinn and keep more I’m going to be pissed.

Looks like he got figured out by everyone except us.
he was under seige a bunch yesterday, protection not great.
His ability to handle pressure is the big deal now. It ain't going away so the Joneses better recognize that and no longer allow all of his intangibles to bleed into the evaluation.

Get ready to be pissed. Quinn used the Cowboys for his career gain and that is okay.
I'd say he gave us a good return for that. All time worst defense last year to one of the better defenses in the NFL this year. It was a massive turnaround.

I'd love to keep Quinn but if he leaves Vic Fangio would be a dream replacement.

I am still trying to figure out how our design makes sense here.

It's just a simple inside Zone run, which makes up about 75% of our running plays, which is the main reason I say that our running game has no creativity behind it. It's mostly just stale inside zone left, zone right for the most part, just like we've been running since 2014.

Look at Biadazs. Obvious his assignment is the outside LBer, but who is responsible for the Middle LBer?

Did Biadazs misread this? Because if he attacks Middle LBer, that’s a gaping hole.

However, to ask a Center to stretch for an Outside LBer is a huge task

Frederick was a master at that. We need a center, clearly.

Then, on the second drive, the morale killer was the 3rd and 6 Connor Williams holding to negate CeeDee Lamb’s catch at the SF 45. 32 yard pass gone

3rd and 16, then punt after that

If you're talking about 54 that should've been Williams, he never came off the combo block with Tyron on 93.

And Steele fucked up on 57 honestly, he should've been on a combo with Schultz on 56 before climbing to 57.

What this play confirms are two things I already knew, 1. The running game design is elementary at best and 2. The OL are sloppy in their technique and not honed in on the details.

For our third drive, the TD to make it 16-7, our run game was decent

1st 10, DAL 33...Run 5 yards
2nd 5, DAL 38...Run 5
1st 10, DAL 43...Run 8
2nd 2, SF 49...Run 5
1st 10, SF 44...Run 1
2nd 9...SF 43...Pass 18
1st 10...SF 25...Run 5
2nd 5, SF 20...Run 0
3rd 5...SF 20...Pass 20 for TD

Drive after this was 2-min drill so we didn't run. Then, our first drive after halftime had decent running still...

1st 10, DAL 25...Run 1 yard
2nd 9, DAL 26...Pass 5
3rd 4, DAL 31...False Start
3rd 9, DAL 26...False Start
3rd 14, DAL 21...Sack
4th 20, DAL 15...Roughing Punter
1st 10, DAL 30...Run 9
2nd 1, DAL 39...Run 3
1st 10, DAL 42...Scramble 3
2nd 7, DAL 45...Incomplete
3rd 7, DAL 45...Incomplete and punt

Then it was the Interception drive, 49ers TD for 23-7 lead with 1:20 remaining in 3rd quarter and we ditched the run for the remainder of the game in catch-up mode (4 runs thereafter).
