I don't think they would complicate things that much.

It would be extremely difficult to turn things over to Parsons. Which in effect you do when you pick a guy 10th in a draft.

Plus, the player is not worth the pick.
Who really is that isn't a WR?

If Parsons checks out with the off the field nonsense he's as worth it as anyone.

Feh.

I would take a WR over him. Pitts would be a no-brainer.

I don't have Parsons in the top 10 in terms of overall talent.

That means we have to reach to make him fit.

Fuck that.

Pitts would be the BPA no matter who is available, but a WR?

Really?

If you're willing to take a WR at 10 under this specific circumstance then I'd argue you should be willing to take one under any circumstance since it seems likely that if a Devonta Smith is available he'd be the BPA almost no matter what.

We have the looming issue with Gallup. We can't pay him when he comes due.

If the BPA is a WR, of course I would be bailing if I could.

But I can tell you this, I would take a WR over Parsons, just for the overall health of the team.

The WR there at 10 is going to be a superior player.

I don't think he is a top 10 player in this draft. Or any, for that matter.

But it is pretty clear, everything points towards CB at this stage.
We lost Chido, we haven't signed a worthy repalcement, Golladay to the Giants, someone like Ja'Marr Chase to the Eagles, so yeah, CB looks like a certainty. We're basically telegraphing to the rest of the league to jump us if you want a corner.

Chido started 8 games last year and wasn't very good. Not sure I would term him as needing a replacement. But I'd have no problem with a corner at 10 despite people on this board thinking it's a dirty word. I think a corner could legitimately be best available and I have very few problems with Farley. He has everything for the most part you want in a corner.

I'm with you. I will have zero problems if we take either Farley or Surtain. I prefer Farley, but Surtain is starting to grow on me, the more I look into him. He doesn't have elite speed, but it's not horrible either. And that's really his only knock, imo.

Yeah I actually think Surtain may be the perfect fit for a cover 3 system. I definitely still like him but Farley is my favorite at this point.

I'll be curious what Surtain runs.
I have no idea what he runs, but to hear people talk, he's very slow. But I would bet he comes in at low 4.5s. Maybe even high 4.4s.

I think if he can be in the low 4.5s, he would be just fine. Straight line speed is overrated, anyway. I'm more interested in quickness in a short area. Ability to turn and run without losing much. There have been a ton of 4.3 corners that couldn't turn their hips to save their lives, and by the time they can turn and get up so speed, they are already burned. The shuttle drill and the 10 and 20 yard splits tell you more than the 40 yd dash does.

I’m going to guess he runs low 4.6s. I could be wrong, but he does not look very fast on the field.

That is pretty slow for a supposed elite corner. I admit, I have not watched him play very much at all. If he is that slow, are his other skills that good to have people still considering him at the top of the draft? Or is it just his name and school that's driving the bus.
