He's actually shorter than Bease. Bease came in at 5077, and this guy came in at 5070.That is Shrimp Beasley short.
Okay, now I feel much better about taking him.Surtain just ran an unofficial 4.42, lock it up.
On his 2nd attempt my iPhone clocked him at a 4.46, so there's that.Okay, now I feel much better about taking him.
Yeah I'm in at 10 with him despite he is a corner. I wish there was a DT prospect to pick at 10 but it doesn't look like it. Surtain has all the tools and pedigree to be really good.Okay, now I feel much better about taking him.
Yeah and his size is legit. Those are great numbers for a 6'2" guy who played great in college. Now will he even last to 10 who knows. On his 2nd attempt my iPhone clocked him at a 4.46, so there's that.
Either way, I think it's pretty clear that he's a low to mid 4.4 guy, so I'm fine with it at 10. I'd still take Slater but the only question on Surtain was whether or not he's a top end athlete.
A 39 inch vert and 4.42 or so answers that question.
Yeah he is fast. I didn't need a forty to tell me that.
He is pretty limited with his height. Will likely be a slot only, with a lot of manufactured opportunities on smoke routes and bubble screens.Yeah he is fast. I didn't need a forty to tell me that.
Bolton had a rough Pro Day. Not a likely late first.Take Surtain at 10 (fine) and use one of our two 3rd's to move up for a front 7 prospect (Barmore, Ojulari, Phillips, Rousseau, Collins, Bolton, Nixon, etc.)
I agree, reminds me a little of the speedy white dude the Cards drafted not long ago. Blanking on his name.He is pretty limited with his height. Will likely be a slot only, with a lot of manufactured opportunities on smoke routes and bubble screens.
I mean he is basically exactly what you want in a cover 3. He really can beat guys up in press.
