Josh Allen has been impressive this season...but he needs to prove himself in a playoff game. Last year, not impressive.

Well, analytics is 2/2 tonight. Two fourth down conversions around midfield equal 10 points.

How about this

Since NFL seems okay with safety of punt, why not change the kickoff to a regular punt formation?

For an onsides attempt, offense would have to gain 20 yards (or 15 yards or whatever) from a punt fake or just a regular scrimmage play.

No more live ball after travels 10 yards. Becomes a 4th and 20, essentially.

Better than touchback after touchback.

Jackson and Diggs talking shit earlier after Diggs missed a bomb.

He just burned Jackson there for 50 yard TD

Cam Newton and CB Poyer go heads up collision. Newton laughs as Poyer heads to sideline for concussion protocol. Newton may suck now, but he’s still 6-6 and a load.

Feh.

There have been big returns. Some resulting in TDs. And there have been botched plays resulting in starting deep in their own territory. And there have been fumbled returns. It's hardly all touchbacks as you make it sound.

Taking the kicking game out completely would be gay.

I think ST coaches have caught on this year with purposely kicking it short to stop returns before the 25-yard line. You’re right in that I feel like there have been more returns this year than usual. Haven’t compared the annual touchback stats, so we’ll see

In response, though, i’m guessing the NFL would bring the touchback back to the 20-yard line to encourage kicking it deep again.

Another stat is if the other kickoff rules (ie no three-man wall) have brought down concussion rates enough for the NFL

Odd challenge

early in the 3rd qtr, its 1st down and only on 25 yard line for 15-yard gain

you only win 2nd &10. Not even a punt

best trade of year:

Bills getting Diggs or Cardinals getting Hopkins
