While they continue to sit back and waste $9 million a year on a defensive lineman (I'm too classy to name names) who isn't even a true starter!

Yeah, this thing strikes me as pride and hubris. Stephen and Jerry have bungled this latest contract extension with Dak the same way they've botched the prior two - first with Lawrence, and then with Elliott. And now they feel that they have to 'win' on some part of the contract extension, even of it's costing them more and more. They've lost, and lost' and lost again on the money side of things, so now all that's left that they think they can win on are the years of the contract. And they're not winning there either.

They'll ultimately cave, Dak will get that four year deal, and then the Jones boys will go about selling it to the masses that they actually did well. It's then up to the sheep, lemmings, and suckers as to whether they choose to believe that bullshit or not.
Best comment so far. Another example of the clown show behind the Star. Let’s haggle over 2-3 million bucks when the fact is they’ve got wasted money all over the roster. Guys that should have been gone or gotten pay cuts long ago.

As far as Dak, he’s got the crazy salary market in his pocket, which dictates he’s going to get paid way more than he’s worth IMO.
But on the flip side, loser Garrett is gone, and he’ll be playing under a SB winning coach and a OC he publicly raved about. Excuse time is over. If he shits the bed in the playoffs or fails to get to the playoffs it’s probably time to move on from him.

They better sign him before Mahomes gets a new contract because that contract will jack prices way up.

Interesting article from the ringer.

"NFL teams spent about 60 percent of their snaps in three-receiver sets last season, and the Cowboys were well above that mark at 67 percent. During his final season with the Packers in 2018, new Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy deployed three receivers on 77 percent of plays—the highest rate in the league. "

That will fit nicely with the stable of WRs we have now.

Marcus Mosher hasn't tweeted in three weeks. I'm growing concerned.

Kinlaw, had he been available, would have forced a tough decision, but Lamb was too much value to pass up on. And we saw what happened the last time we went with "need" (Hill).
