Yeah, it's probably more than I would have given up, ultimately.

Won't the suspension roll over to next year? Seems a waste to allow an injured player to serve his suspension.

Honestly I think it was a bad trade for the eagles. Gave up too much.

Darby was much better his rookie season than last year when he really regressed. He also was not really the kind of corner McDermott likes.

That's part of the issue. I've heard that he was pretty good as a rookie but in his second year he was graded similarly to Nolan Carroll. So which Darby are the eagles getting.

A third rounder PLUS a borderline starting WR is too much to give up for that.

I look at it like this; does Darby make the difference between a super bowl or even division championship this year? No. So they gave up too much. Because going forward they're starting corners will be Sidney Jones and Rasoul Douglas, or at least that's the plan.

This was a trade for this year and they gave up a third without moving the needle.
