Escobar won't be able to get on the field any more than Fasano could. We always talk about a 2 TE offense but we never actually run one.
I think that was Jerry's point yesterday. He wants the offense to utilize high draft picks like TE's instead of wasting them.Escobar won't be able to get on the field any more than Fasano could. We always talk about a 2 TE offense but we never actually run one.
Let's force something we've never been able to get to work. Brilliant, JJ, brilliant.I think that was Jerry's point yesterday. He wants the offense to utilize high draft picks like TE's instead of wasting them.
at the expense of making our offense inept. we are going to force the two TE system in our offense and chances are it screws everything upI think that was Jerry's point yesterday. He wants the offense to utilize high draft picks like TE's instead of wasting them.
You are one of the most knowledgeable posters here imo, but really?Witten has speed
lol. Speed, not quickness. Witten separates in the open field. His stride just outpaces linebackers and his body is too huge for DB's. Those classic mismatches have been his bread and butter. But they get negated somewhat in the redzone since there's less room for him to stride. He also can't jump for shit. He has good hands, but he's not known for making tough, contested catches. His other abilities to get open make this somewhat unnecessary. You are one of the most knowledgeable posters here imo, but really?
It would help if Escobar were not what amounts to a jacked up WR. Rag on Bennett, but we did miss the blocking element he was pretty good at last year. With Austin, Dez, Witten, Williams, and an emerging Harris in the fold I just don't see Escobar having a significant impact on offense.
Frankly I'll be surprised if he hits 25 receptions on the year. I just don't see it happening.
I know the Cowboys don't understand it, but generally teams use that 2nd round pick on players who are expected to have a significant impact sooner rather than later.
Philadelphia.Who got maysnet?

They didn't actually sign it. They pretended. Which is even more important. No, no. This time it's way different. They signed a paper.
When they passed a paper during Wade's tenure he wrote down 3 chili burgers and a chocolate shake. No, no. This time it's way different. They signed a paper.

How much better does this draft look instead:
1 (31) FS Jonathan Cyprien
2 (47) C Travis Frederick
3 (74) WR Terrance Williams
3 (80) DT Jonathan Jenkins
4 (114) LB Khaseem Greene
5 (151) OL David Quesenberry
6 (185) RB Andre Ellington
I don't know if Frederick would have been there, but assume he would have been.
