Please expand on this, I see good physical specimens in major programs with a lot of hype and little onfield production.

I hashed this all out about 3 DCCs ago, but F it.
Floyd's a pure 4-3 DT. He played out of position his first two years in the hybrid 3-4 kicked outside. Beats linemen with his first step. Floyd's a penetrating DT that's capable of blowing up plays in the backfield. He's aggressive. Marcus Spears was never aggressive or a gap shooter as a prospect and was universally looked at as a 3-4 DE with his strength lying in the run game.
I don't know what kind of production you expect out of SEC DTs. Especially Florida this year, they ran the shit out of the ball and shortened games. The UF D probably saw the fewest passing attempts against them in the conference.
Geno Atkins didn't light QBs up every week and he might be the best pass rushing DT in the league. Fairley and Dareus did more than Floyd, but they were clear top prospects.
Floyd's total package is enough to justify a solid first round grade. Nothing more.
