Yes, he pushes for every advantage he can get. Even if at times, that advantage is actually braking league rules. I like that McCarthy is smart enough to do the same, as long as he doesn't push anything into illegal territory. And what might be frustrating to a fan in not getting news, if it...

If he's healthy, I'm thinking he makes it based on his special teams play. And Noah Brown seems to be consistently making plays as well, so it's looking like Devin Smith might be the odd man out. That's too bad because I like the speed element Smith can bring. Everyone else looks like a 6'1" or...

I love this. Instead of a clueless, dysfunctional coaching staff that tips their hand at every turn, and tries to convince everyone that having the new guy call the defensive plays while letting the old guy keep the title is 'perfectly normal', we now have a staff that uses any and everything...

Nope. Instead we got a decade's worth of excuses. Scariest thing is that Jerry still did everything he could to keep Garrett around.

The closest thing to an admission we'll ever get from Jerry.

From what I’m reading, he took a pay cut to sign with the Vikings. Since he never actually signed his tag, I guess they can trade his rights and he can agree to a different deal.

How does that work? Teams can 'restructure' franchise tags?

We’re starting to see some positive comments about defensive tackle Trysten Hill

I've heard it coming from a lot of sources, but i will remain skeptical until I see it on the field, certainly based on how terrible his rookie season was. But the fact is, with McCoy being gone, the team desperately needs Hill to 'get it' and step up this year. In my opinion, his problems are...

That's who I'm expecting him to replace on the roster. Some roster forecasts have the team keeping 7 linebackers but I think there are needs for that roster spot at other positions.

I'm probably guilty of 'homering out', but between the new coaching staff and the players added in the draft and free agency, I think the changes will be stark, noticeable, and undeniable. This is a 11-plus win team, compared to Garrett's incompetence leading to another 8-8 season last year...

Sturm: Can the Cowboys offense really produce 4 1,000-yard players? And does it matter?

Honestly, I blame so much of the problems on Garrett. Not only was he not good at his own job, he also had a poor, limited Rolodex of connections to the coaching community. The polar opposite of Mike McCarthy, who went out and assembled an all-star-cast of assistants. Garrett's shortcomings...

Same for me. I just knew that somehow, some way, Peters would end up back with the Eagles again. He may be near the end, but he's been a great player for them. He's always been an athletic freak, and even though he's up in years, I'd still rather face them with Dillard rather than Peters.
