They were great early in the year though, even with far less talent than that group had in recent years.

I still wonder what happened midway through the year to the entire offense. Makes me wonder if something internal happened to change things.
Yea the entire offense more or less went belly up after the Patriots game, it has to be something systemic for it to happen to the entire offense, both run and pass.

The schedule made Dallas look better than they were, and the weak opponents covered up the team’s many flaws.

Dallas wasn’t battle-tested enough to expose the DL weaknesses

Even the NE win loses some shine after the utter spanking that team just got in Buffalo.

The Denver game though really exposed the offenses weakness. Dak must have a strong running game to succeed, it is not enough to just attempt runs.

Bracket coverage makes Dak hesitant, and he lacks the rifle needed to beat it. Even if he has time and room to put his whole body into a throw, he telegraphs where he’s throwing. This is where he has always lacked the creativity to throw a teammate open and make a play where there didn’t appear to be one.

No way was Jerry going to build his billion dollar Monument to Himself and have all those cars on I-30 see only one endzone end of it.
I just about punched my laptop when that ball flew past Wilson because he couldn't see it. God damn, I hate Jerry Jones so damn much. He doesn't give one fuck about winning as long as those seats continue to be full every Sunday.

It was over when the desperation heave hits Cedric Wilson’s hands and then fell to the ground. That drive had everything a championship offense could ask for.

2:51 with three timeouts. Best pass rusher, Nick Bosa, out. Not just a tie, but a TD to win.

Couldn’t even get beyond midfield.
Better yet…Dak wins, he moves on and if you lose to Brady the GOAT…that’s palatable. Losing to Rodgers in GB…that’s palatable. Dak lost to fucking JIMMY “the 9ers are dumping me” Garapollo. LMAO.

Completely agree. I was over this loss 5 minutes after the final whistle.

The way I look at it Jerry Jones is getting exactly what he deserves. He's the one who chooses to hand important coaching jobs to people just because he likes them. Merit and experience be damned. Too lazy to do any real legwork to actually seek out the best coaching candidates.

Meanwhile the teams that are doing it the right way, through meritocracy, are kicking the Cowboys asses every year when it matters most. You reap what you sew.

I've said this before and it's still true today: I'm perfectly content with the Cowboys never winning another Super Bowl as long as Jerry is alive. IMO, he doesn't deserve to see another one.
Plus it would so satisfying to witness the "football guy" breathing his last knowing he was such an abysmal failure.

I wanna send out a missing persons report on @boozeman @Iamtdg @NoDak @Texas Ace @bbgun

I care. I want you guys to be okay. Just a simple “I’m good” would make me feel better.
I'm perfectly fine.

I thought they'd win yesterday, but I seriously underestimated the ghosts of the past.

That was a poorly played and poorly coached game.

There's a lot of blame to go around for this one so I don't really know what you address.

What I can tell you is, the next time the Cowboys find themselves in the playoffs, even if they're coming off of a 17-0 regular season, I will expect the absolute worst of them.

Yesterday killed the little optimism I had left in this franchise.

I want to revisit the entire Moore situation. I admit I thought McCarthy genuinely wanted him, because I thought Mike had said he liked him even before MM was hired here. (Maybe that wasn't true?) But I heard him even just a few weeks ago joke/avoid questions about how hard it was for him not to call plays. So it's clear he wishes he could put in his own offense and call plays for it like he has other places. IMO it's a shame he can't do it because Jerry insists on keeping Dak comfy with his BFF and not having to learn a new offense.

But what again has Moore done to make him that special? Or Dak either, for that matter? It makes for a terrible dynamic.

Dak can make the throws…he made several really nice throws yesterday. What kills him is the inconsistency.
I mean really, the fact you and your defense were outplayed by Jimmy G, and even worse I don’t think Jimmy really had much pressure on him yesterday at all.
When does this FO wake up and understand they need solid players along the DL to do something in todays NFL.?
That’s why Jerry Jones can go fuck himself with a 12” dildo with “I’m not a GM football man” written on it. He’s not a football man, never will be.

I wonder if he'll eventually break down and have some tarps/shades installed to eliminate this issue.

This has been a reoccurring problem that should have been addressed a long time ago.

And to make it even worse... they could at least draw those curtains to keep the sun out, but they reportedly didn't like the aesthetic.

Because what matters is everything but football.

Dak would probably be more efficient in McCarthys offense. But it doesn’t change the fact McCarthy still sucks as a head coach. The team was not ready to play yesterday, and McCarthy is to blame for Zeke being out on the field to the tune of 31 yards vs Pollard who is clearly the better RB right now.

At least back to Witten. He's the first one I can remember talking about how it is an issue.

Yeah…Garappolo completed 16 passes, 172 yards and won a playoff game. The 49ers are framework’d a different way.

I can’t imagine any way in any dimension that Prescott throws for <200 yards in a playoff win for us. We’re architected differently.

I said the other day I thought one way this game could go south was forcing Zeke touches because of his rep/resume/contract. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that's exactly what happened.

there’s truth in there. But Dak held the ball and always does. I’m fed up with him waiting to throw dowmfield until it’s do or die.

and what the fuck was his retarded was thinking on that last play?
That to me has always been his biggest weakness along with his accuracy.

John Kitna worked wonders for the latter, but there is no cure for the former. It's something you just have to have naturally and dating back to his rookie year, he's never had a feel for pressure.

A lack of pocket presence is just something you're always gonna have to accept with him.

I just can't fathom having your RB rush for 32 yards and winning many games. But at the same time when he is ripping off 2 yards a carry he isn't doing any good either. It's a problem and unfortunately no matter what it seems like we are going to continue to be fed the Zeke train. I'm sure we will hear again how he worked his tail off in the offseason and is going to be good again. But the stats don't lie, the guy is on a decline. I doubt that changes. Next year will just be even worse. But no one will do anything because he is a great "locker room guy" and has a contract that is brutal to get out of.
