And their fans be forced to drink a Bud Light with Dylan Mulvaney
And you should be forced to endure the Rockets sucking ass. Oh wait, you already have to do that.

You also have to factor in that Mark Cuban is a repeat offender when it comes to league fines.

An owner with a cleaner record probably would have got off with a punishment much lighter than the $750K fine.
You also have to factor in that Cuban is a complete dickhead.

I don't anymore either.

So on that note... what the hell is this "play-in tournament" thing? Another gimmick?

@1bigfan13 Does this affect the Thunder's draft pick? Do we want them to win tonight?

Yes. Dumb as hell. I still don't understand it.

Basically seeds 7-10 in each conference have to play their way into the final 2 playoff spots via a tournament.

And as if that isn't dumb enough, wait til we get a load of the midseason tournament next year that decides absolutely nothing and has zero purpose.

The play-in tournament is something that came about to incentivize teams to continue competing deeper into the season.

I don't like it either but I have to admit that it has proven to be effective. A lot more teams that would normally throw in the towel and start tanking in February are now playing their regulars and giving an honest effort well into April.

As for your question about the Thunder's draft pick....no participating in the tournament will not impact OKC's draft pick. They'll still have a pick in the 11-13 range; unless they get lucky in the lottery and end up with a top 5 pick.

I've read a couple of articles about this new tournament and I still don't fully understand it or why it's even necessary. As far as I know, no one even asked for this shit.

It seems to me they just copied what the Euro soccer leagues do. Because everyone knows the Euros are smarter and better than us at everything. :jerk

Wait 'til Goodell copies this model.

Midseason NFL playoffs FTW? :towel
By the time they get up to 20 games or so, the middle of the season may be boring enough for them to try something goofy like that...

(I'm kidding, I hope.)

But back to the Thunder, if they'd won last night and made it in, that would have affected their pick, right? Because they'd have made the playoffs? That's why I was hoping they'd lose, anyway.

Yeah, if they won their pick would have dropped a few spots.

I don't understand how they could review that Harden play then come away thinking a flagrant 2 was the appropriate call.

That contact shouldn't have even rose to the level of a technical, let alone a flagrant. Common offensive foul at most.
