The only guys on that list who could ask for more than like $4M/year are Pollard, LVE, Schultz and Wilson, so right in Stephen's wheelhouse.

James Washington wasn't ready to contribute last year. Resign him. This year he's ready.

I'm on the fence whether I'd rather have Elliott completely gone but counting $11M against the cap (while saving $5M from where we're currently at), or bringing him back on a clean contract for like a $3M cap hit next year.

On one hand we'd be saving $13M against the cap in that scenario, which is way more than just outright releasing him, on the other we probably wouldn't seriously try to add another RB and would likely still feed him an unnecessary number of touches.

If we are keeping Dak then add Schultz and I would keep Pollard.
The problem with Schultz is that he's more valuable to us than he generally is because we have a half-baked QB and Schultz is one of the few guys he has chemistry with.

The best move would be to let him go and draft another TE in what is a very strong class, although we're so devoid of weapons in the passing game I'd understand the logic behind extending one of the very few guys who actually clicks with Dak in the passing game.

Schultz is another one. Like the player, but the guy wants to be paid like a franchise TE and he's not.

I'd be making calls seeing what I can get for his rights.

He's a FA, how are you going to trade him without tagging him?

Same for Pollard.

Let him sign elsewhere and take the comp.

Ferguson is capable.

So is Hendershot. Schultz has no leverage here.
Let someone else sign Schultz and watch him regress into a 500 yard a year TE. He is a nice player but I don't think he gives us much more than a security blanket.

As far as RB, I'd see if Pollard would come back on a one year deal with the injury. Then go and draft a compliment to him. Zeke can walk. I'd kick around the idea of Zeke as a short yardage back but like we all saw yesterday he has too much pull in the locker room and the coaches will put him in there regardless. Especially when Pollard gets hurt. RB's are easy and rookie do star stuff. Just draft a guy and move on with Pollard and a rookie.

Hell even a rookie seventh round pick for the Chiefs is making a big impact at RB.
