4 years in the league you are unrestricted.

That's all that matters. And less than 3 years and you are an exclusive rights free agent I believe. But those are really just undrafted type guys who sign less than 3 year deals.

They are. But they don’t have to be.
The article makes it sound as if they have no option other than to stick with Dak. That isn’t true. The other options may not be attractive but there are options.

There is no option other than to stick with Prescott.

There is a significant fantasy that exists where we as fans think rationally and it suggests that the Joneses could one day think in the best interests of the franchise, interests other than their own.

Then there is the stark sad cold reality where options don't exist.

They've already made their beds and now they will roll around in it for the foreseeable future.
