^^ Exactly. Peters can pass block but he can't run and move like Steele.

Sucks. But at least we're lucky/smart enough to have someone as good as Peters on the team.

Why?

One of the reporters said it was a standard tear and he should be good to go for camp next year, and even if he can't play until October or whatever you can let Peters fill in.

If anything I bet cheapo Stephen takes this opportunity to extend Steele.
Yeah Steele will be back next year as the starting RT. No reason this shouldn't be healed up by the start of next season.

True story. Especially on this board.
Do the Cowboys suck? Of course not.

But the reason why these types of performances cause more pessimism when it comes to the Cowboys is because they serve as reminders of their poor playoff history since the turn of the century.

We all WANT to believe that this team can be different and can do what all the others before them have failed to do, and that is to go on a winning streak in the playoffs.

And that can't happen until they win those high pressure games to start the postseason -- something they've failed to do 6 out of the 8 times they've made to the playoffs in the last 22 years.

And what is the reoccurring theme in those losses? Slow starts where they looked unprepared. And when you see games like yesterday or the Green Bay loss a few weeks ago, it gives you that bad feeling that this team still isn't ready to overcome those things because those same ugly habits continue to linger.

That's why KC having a bad day vs a bad team doesn't hurt your opinion of them as it does when the Cowboys do the same.

These Cowboys have to earn that benefit of doubt and they've done nothing to do so in recent memory, so the negative "overreactions" to games like yesterday's will continue.

Hell, even when we did win our first game of the playoffs vs the Lions in 2014, we looked like shit for the entire 1st half and found ourselves down 14.

I incorrectly said 8 playoff appearances when it's actually been 9:

But it's crazy how in those 9 appearances, you've got 4 different head coaches and yet the slow starts/lack of preparation has occurred in all but one instance, and that was the 2009 wild card win vs the Eagles.
