I trust Quinn, but it still makes no sense to me why he played him off the ball the entire game.Quinn needs to unleash Parson again. I'm very disappointed in Quinn for sticking with that passive use of Parsons the entire game vs Green Bay. Also, fix the DL alignments. Make stopping the run the priority this week. The Vikings are in the bottom 10 in rushing yards per game but the Cowboys defense has shown that even marginal RBs can carve them up. So stop the run first, then hope playing outside the 1PM slot is enough to throw off Kirk D. Cousins.
So someone explain that second one of booze's #46 to me. I don't see what Bohanna did wrong, he extends his arms and pushes the center two yards into the backfield. (Pause it at 0:04.) I guess both Parsons and LVE should have reacted quicker, especially LVE who has the RB coming right at him but doesn't come forward towards the RB, he just stands and absorbs the block.
And that was a 12 yard gain anyway. Sometimes they block you and that happens. Not sure this is a play that beats you.
My bigger question is what kind of alignment is that? Bohanna is head up on the center (or maybe a tiny shade outside, it's hard to tell, but it looks like he's two gapping). There's nobody else on the right side until Fowler way outside at DE, and he's obviously a smaller pass rush specialist. That looks like an easy run because literally nobody is over there except the LBs.
This is where it looks to me like Quinn is overthinking things. And/or maybe using too many combinations trying to keep everyone happy.
Jim Mauer handing the X-ray files to Dr. JerryOh good, Dr. Jones is on the case.
I think Quinn needs to get over his trust issues and start playing Clark and Cox because we can't have dudes like LVE out there running slow and absorbing blocks instead of making plays. So someone explain that second one of booze's #46 to me. I think by this stage, it is safe to put thoughts about Cox doing much on the back burner. Not having Barr, someone who knows how to be in the right place at the right time, was probably more of an issue than we realized at the time.
I think the main reason they had Parsons playing "off-ball" in that game was to reduce the wear and tear on his body, but I wouldn't discount Barr being out as a secondary reason for it due to a lack of trust in Clark/Cox.

I thought he looked really good in preseason tooYeah it's so weird because he seemed like he played decent when he was in last year. He's not even a gleam in Quinn's eye this year.
You almost expect to see him get the Trystan Hill treatment.I thought he looked really good in preseason too
