The problem with your philosophy is Jerry & Stephen Jones don't know shit about acquiring franchise QBs.

Since Aikman retired all of their top QB choices have been train wrecks.

They lucked into Romo and had to "settle" on Dak.. If not for some outstanding luck they'd have walked out of the 2016 draft with Paxton Lynch or Connor Cook.

So no thanks, I don't want the Joneses leading the search for a new franchise QB. Because history has shown that the QBs they covet are the Quincy Carter/Paxton Lynch/Drew Hensons of the world.

What's the difference? You either have the QB that can win you a championship or you don't. I think you actively try and find that guy until you have him.

People can say Dak can win a SB all they want, the truth is his bets shot was last year. He fell apart and we spent the last half of the year waiting for him to get right, he really never did unless it was against trash teams.

I don’t agree with this at all. I think we can win with Dak. He may need more pieces around him versus an elite QB but I believe we can win with him. People are so shorttermed memory they forget how good he has been.

It's literally the same argument I made for Romo. Is he "good enough" to be on a championship team? Sure. He could not fuck it up, but he isn't putting a team on his back in the playoffs. He's especially not doing it without an elite supporting cast that the front office feels it can't afford because they're paying Dak Prescott like he doesn't need that help around him.

Idk, I hope I'm wrong obviously, but we'll know in a few short years.
