Accusing a process of being racist is not the same as race-baiting. The Rooney Rule is asinine. You can see token interviews all over the place.
Bringing race into a situation that has absolutely nothing to do with race is race baiting. Period.

It’s more playing the race card than baiting. He’s not looking to bait anyone. He’s looking to make an excuse for not being a head coach.

To me, it's basically the same fucking thing.

Okie dokie.
I'm just sick of race being used as a tool. Whether it's using race to gain an advantage or calling white people white supremacist to gain an advantage. Fucking tired of it, man.

Is the Rooney Rule collectively bargained? Thought it was a self imposed thing. Not sure you have a case using that as your basis.
It's in the CBA. It's essentially affirmative action.

That is how I see it. He is definitely playing the race card. It is posturing, I am sure. He pretty much may become the next Kaepernick.

It also seems like the Dolphins owner is a piece of shit if he actually did offer him $100k a game to lose.

It’s getting worse.

I noticed a woke commercial a few weeks ago where a black student says “when I graduate, I’ll make $10k less than a white person with the same skills.”

Uh, where do these people live? If every company in America could hire blacks or minorities for $10k less than their white counterparts, white people would be unemployed tomorrow.

It is. It's giving a career opportunity based on race. It's also fucking stupid. Team knows who they are hiring as soon as the job is ope, team must still pretend to be interested in a minority candidate to avoid violation. Candidate now finds out and files lawsuit.

Stop with the bullshit dog and pony show and this wouldn't happen. Like if we wanted Sean Payton. What exactly is the point of some fake interview with a minority candidate when our mind is already made up? Of course it is a sham. The system is set up to create sham interviews.

Giants were fools not to interview Flores (or any other black candidate) first. That would eliminate the "they already made up their mind" argument.

NFL is fucking dumb. Wanted to look woke and this is the result.

Flores will never get a coaching job now though. Teams know he will claim race if he gets fired.

I wouldn't even interview him. Who needs this shit?

They didn't want to lose the guy they actually wanted to hire. I get it. Who wants to lose the guy they covet while waiting for a token interview to come in.

Funny thing is Flores lawsuit is probably going to have teams even more hesitant to hire black coaches for fear that if they fire them there will be this type of reaction.

What makes him a POS though? I get how this is dubious in a way, but POS is harsh unless I am unaware of something.

The only thing that was mentioned when he was fired was a "toxic" environment, but very little in terms of specifics.
Crying racism and begging for a handout because he didn't get a couple of jobs.

Flores proved them right for not hiring him with his chicken shit antics. He's as contemptible a grifter as Kaepernick.

This is why you never bend to affirmative action BS in the first place.

It was only a matter of time for that rule not to be enough and more quotas and tokenism to be instituted. Same here with the NFL as it is with every aspect of our rotting civilization.
