til death do us part.Awful.
til death do us part.Awful.
a feat of true engineering genius.
Yeah, this was a blunder by refs, compounded by refs not giving us the split second buffer when play clock hits 00:00I missed it during the game but I'd still love to know why the ref is standing their preventing them from snapping the ball.
It looked like the ref was confused and expecting the Cowboys O to come back onto the field. So he just stood there burning away our time.
His job is to spot the ball then get the hell out of the way. It's the Cowboys' purgative if they left the ST unit on the field, not the refs.
I'm good. Just still trying to process this shitfest.I wanna send out a missing persons report on @boozeman @Iamtdg @NoDak @Texas Ace @bbgun
I care. I want you guys to be okay. Just a simple “I’m good” would make me feel better.
Completely agree. I was over this loss 5 minutes after the final whistle.Sturm sums it up. You reach a stage in life where you just stop giving a shit. Each of us has only so much emotional capital. Why invest any of it in a organization run by Jerry Jones? Why invest any of it in a team that folds up at crunch time every year?
Get past it, move on. Who cares?
Are you surprised?I'm good. Just still trying to process this shitfest.
I can safely say this is the first year that I decided late in the year that this organization is not worth the extreme emotional investment.Completely agree. I was over this loss 5 minutes after the final whistle.
The way I look at it Jerry Jones is getting exactly what he deserves. He's the one who chooses to hand important coaching jobs to people just because he likes them. Merit and experience be damned. Too lazy to do any real legwork to actually seek out the best coaching candidates.
Meanwhile the teams that are doing it the right way, through meritocracy, are kicking the Cowboys asses every year when it matters most. You reap what you sew.
I've said this before and it's still true today: I'm perfectly content with the Cowboys never winning another Super Bowl as long as Jerry is alive. IMO, he doesn't deserve to see another one.
No, not really.Are you surprised?
Pretty sure @boozeman was not thrilled with Philbins hire. The OL severely regressed under him IMO.The good thing is even with a $40M QB a running game can be built fairly cheaply. It just takes having a competent OL and experienced coaches who are actually committed adding some creativity to the play designs.
Joe Philbin should be on the hot seat, IMO. Aside from Tyron Smith's annual rash of injuries, the OL was relatively healthy the entire season yet they probably turned in the worst performance by a Cowboys OL since 2010.
Last year he got the benefit of the doubt because of all the injures. No such excuse this year. I know he's a McCarthy guy but they need to seriously explore other options for that OL coach position.
It was over when the desperation heave hits Cedric Wilson’s hands and then fell to the ground. That drive had everything a championship offense could ask for.Completely agree. I was over this loss 5 minutes after the final whistle.
They were great early in the year though, even with far less talent than that group had in recent years.Pretty sure @boozeman was not thrilled with Philbins hire. The OL severely regressed under him IMO.
Wait until the TV ratings and playoff attendance records come outIt's shit like this that reminds me just how fucking bad I hate Jerry Jones.
Yeah, you don't need a 15 mil RB and a bunch of high draft picks to have a good Oline and running game. I'd start at LG to fix shit but a new Oline coach would probably be high on my list. And then an OC who actually cares about the running game. You have to put effort and creativity into the run game. Look at the 49ers as an example. Stupid creative running the ball and it makes everything so much easier. The good thing is even with a $40M QB a running game can be built fairly cheaply. It just takes having a competent OL and experienced coaches who are actually committed adding some creativity to the play designs.

This is the long and short of it, the entire team came out flat and committed a historic number of penalties, that falls on the coaches.
I guess dumb ass fans are going to continue to whine about the last play. The team came out flat in a win or go home game. That is the real issue.
No way was Jerry going to build his billion dollar Monument to Himself and have all those cars on I-30 see only one endzone end of it.It's shit like this that reminds me just how fucking bad I hate Jerry Jones.
The penalties are just mind boggling. I don't get it. We looked like a team in the first week of preseason with dumb penalty after dumb penalty. This is the long and short of it, the entire team came out flat and committed a historic number of penalties, that falls on the coaches.
A good reminder for me came early last week during one of his radio interviews. When asked about the possibility of 49ers fans invading AT&T stadium his response was basically that he likes it and it makes for a fun atmosphere. It's shit like this that reminds me just how fucking bad I hate Jerry Jones.
