Probably right, you know the Giants are going to be pressed, esp. with all the hype Dallas is getting.

Fuck 'em, honestly, but we need to get stouter on defense. We are getting there, but we are short handed in spite of our addition by subtraction of Jaylon.
I don't think we are short handed on defense. I actually think we just made ourselves much stronger against the run and pass.

I will take the scoring defense as a marker of defense success over yards.

Cutting Jaylon definitely and absolutely helped, I just think we can't continue to have Gallimore and Lawrence out of the lineup and not see consequences at some point. Especially considering that even with them our weakest link on defense besides Jaylon was DT.

We haven't been attacked up the gut with a strong rushing attack yet, for example. You can't stop the run with mirrors, and nothing exposes you faster than a balanced attack led by good interior blocking.

Sooner or later a good team is going to hit us there and we need to be ready. That's all.

It might not be the Giants, but they can keep the game close that way, and in Barkley they have the talent to do so.

Barkley should be a great test for this fledgling group led by Parsons and Diggs. The Mob. Buckle up, LVE.

I don't know how much of a test Barkley is. He averages 3.6 yards per carry this season and his best game was an awesome 57 yards on the ground against the Skins.

Maybe Barkley's not the guy, especially on this Giants team, but something to work on.

Good feeling though that The Mob will work on it.

You beat me to it. This isn't the test we've been studying for.

Exactly. So many variables in tying D rankings to anything else.
I’ve always followed the PF and PA as the marker for how good a defense is.
