Sort of how I see it. I love some Aikman but I'm not so sure how great he would be as a GM. Wouldn't really be my choice.Wouldn't be surprised if Stephen made a move like that once Jerry is dead, he knows the fan base would love it and he doesn't crave the attention/credit the way Jerry does.
Don't you fucking do this to me, Jerry.
Just what we need: another amateur at the helm.Sort of how I see it. I love some Aikman but I'm not so sure how great he would be as a GM. Wouldn't really be my choice.
Like Gruden to the Univ of Tennessee immient?sounds imminent.
I’m trying to understand what would qualify Aikman as a GM. He has never proven that he can evaluate talent or oversee an organization.
Because he's family. Colin Cowherd last week said that 14 of our top 15 highest paid players are ones that we drafted.* In short, we only trust "our own."I’m trying to understand what would qualify Aikman as a GM. He has never proven that he can evaluate talent or oversee an organization.
I’m not going to be picky. If he will just hire a GM I will consider it a huge victory. After 25+ years of this the last thing I’m going to do is nitpick the selection.I'd pick Will McClay over Aikman as GM.
So name Stephen GM and you're good?I’m not going to be picky. If he will just hire a GM I will consider it a huge victory. After 25+ years of this the last thing I’m going to do is nitpick the selection.
I said hire.So name Stephen GM and you're good?
What if Spaulding were hired as GM?I said hire.
BoomWhat if Spaulding were hired as GM?
Please sweet baby jesus.
So let's say Aikman becomes GM and he isn't good at it. Wouldn't it be a nightmare to fire a legend like that? Please sweet baby jesus.

Yeah, that kind of why I don't want Aikman. I'm just not confident enough in him being a really good GM. And if he sucks we are back to where we are now. Basically an unfireable GM.Having an unfireable GM is in our DNA.
