Seems so long ago...Garrett and Jerry keep drafting "specialty backs". We need one to take over a game.
Barber was big for keeping defenses honest and opening up the passing game, which helped that offense be so good.

Murray could be that for us now, if we ever bothered to use him.

I think the football gods have it out for the Cowboys.
Ain't that the truth.

Sometimes I honestly feel like this team is just cursed.

It may come down to the final week as we win one, lose one, win one and once fucking more, have to win the last two weeks against divisional opponents to take the title.

And we will probably fail. Again.
I don't want this team making the playoffs at 8-8, but I also don't want these assholes losing another divisional, winner-take-all finale either.

With our luck, they'll do just enough to make that game count while failing enough to let the Eagles get back into things, and we'll lose that game while also giving Jerry just enough of an excuse to bring back the exact same team for next year.

I know we need the GM gone to ultimately win, but I think getting Gruden as a head coach would give us about 3 or 4 more wins per season with this current team. At least they would be mentally tough and disciplined.

I would absolutely love Gruden.

He isn't very popular on this board, but I'd be ecstatic to get him.

I know they'll never actually bring a real OC in here so long as Garrett runs this team, but as a consolation prize, I'd love to bring Kubiak in here.

Not only are his offenses damn good, he's also a pretty damn good QB coach as well. Combine all that with his love for running the football, and you have exactly the type of guy this offense needs.

If the Cowboys made the playoffs with an 8-8 record and went one and done, it would still be enough to keep Garrett in Jerry's eyes. I just hope that someone finally realizes that this offensive system ran its course a long time ago and needs to be changed ASAP.

Wade Wilson is one of those guys that skillfully and purposely stays off the radar. Jerruh probably doesn't know he's still on the team.

Wade doesn't try to get a promotion, he knows he's lucky to be employed.

Eh....football isn't all that exciting to me these days.
Yeah. If I decide to stop watching the Cowboys, I won't be picking up another team. As disenfranchised I am about the Cowboys, I'm down on the quality of the NFL as well. I'll go ride a bicycle or something.

Yup.

Luckily for me I'm a big sports fan in general and am perfectly happy with soccer and NBA.

And with the PS4 coming out in less than 2 weeks, I'll have everything I need to occupy my time. :towel

If I gave up football, my wife probably would agree to let me play video games again. I haven't bought a console since the Gamecube.

Gruden is above average which would immediately make him the 2nd/3rd best coach we've had since Landry.
