Hilarious that they'd actually say someone will be cut if they can't trade them. Not a great incentive for a trade partner to give up much if anything.

We’re far from the only team that has said that. Teams will give up a 6th or 7th if they don’t want to take a chance on the waiver wire or trying to sign them as a FA.
