Especially when Joe pointedly says, "I'm the Democratic Party right now" and "I won the primary, I beat all those other people, my policies are what matter."

I've been on BCBS for years so I've been oblivious to the impact of OC

However, the rates are shooting through the roof. At the current trajectory, my insurance is doubling every 4 years. I currently pay $7,200/year

if the rate of doubling stays constant, I'll be paying $230,400 per year 20 years from now

Yes, I had to a couple of years ago. Why? Because Obamacare ended my policy.

I've ranted about this before. Most people probably have no knowledge of it because they get insurance through their company like they always have. But I'm basically self-employed so I have no choice. It SUCKS. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is. You have very few choices whatsoever, and the docs you can choose from are basically the bottom of the barrel. And then you have to include extra forms for your taxes.

I remember telling my dad about this and he kept saying, "That can't be right. There has to be a way you can still buy private insurance." Nope, you can't. At all. At least not in Texas (and most other states).

I've told many people that even if I had no political feelings whatsoever, I would never vote Dem after this fiasco.

And yes, I was shocked Joe said that after Obama blatantly lied about it before.
I'm in Texas and have Blue Cross Blue Shield, why cant you get it? (I'm self employed by the way and have been since I was 24 years old)

It is BCBS, because that's the one company in Texas you get. The first year or two there was apparently at least a little competition, but the others dropped out because they couldn't make any money. And you know what happens when there's no competition.

Problem is, the exact plans you get are prescribed by the government. Your only option is higher deductibles/lower premiums, etc.

I have friends and family in that county. My friend said there was a Trump car parade near him in that county about a week ago and it was huge.
If Trump call pull down PA I think he has the election in the bag. This is a good sign for him.

I heard someone make the point that Republican voters were going to the polls early and to vote in person rather than mail-in in response to assertions the ballots would get lost, go uncounted etc

It also seems more people that lean Trump aren't afraid to go outside, perhaps lean toward believing the covid is fake or overblown and more likely to vote in person

whereas those that are against Trump see just the opposite, go to Biden rallies in their cars and might lean toward mail voting

I wonder if this explains the early voting numbers we're seeing from republicans

Biden really needs the Philly suburbs especially, and he needs Philly itself by a huge margin.

It could just be there's a lot of Biden votes but not a lot of enthusiasm for him. My town is heavily Biden, maybe 80/20 or even 90/10 so it's disheartening. It could just be on the surface though.

One thing about Philly and a lot of nearby suburbs is it's very blue collar working class and those people traditionally leaned democrat. Those types don't typically care about environmental issues, and they don't like to be told that they're full of hate, and they respond very very poorly to being bullied. And they love their country.

If you had to predict, what do you think the outcome of PA will be?

my small sample size leads me to think I'm in an echo chamber because almost everyone I speak with is heavily against the democrats goals/philosophies more than they are fans of Trump but no doubt voting for him

But as I drive around my neighborhood (I'm in East Dallas in a pretty nice neighborhood by White Rock Lake) and the Biden signs are probably 10:1 (which had me envisioning cucked husbands acquiescing to their trump enraged wives and being forced to install these signs in their yard in order to keep the peace but then secretly voting for Trump).

When I read the Facebook page set up for this neighborhood, its overwhelming pro Biden with most woman rabidly expressing their hate for Trump

Then I peruse articles like this and it makes me wonder if Trump winning would be a total shock
