We've already got rino conservatives like David French saying we should make a handshake deal with dems that they agree not to expand scotus. Problem is every handshake deal we make with them they renig on, see Reagan amnesty for border wall & Bush Sr tax hike for spending cuts.
Never negotiate with terrorists.

At least a female nominee can't be credibly accused of rape. I think.

Absolutely do not agree. I think it actually helps his chances if not confirmed by election day.

1. They will have drug the nominee through the dirt so bad by that point that independents will lean over to Trump's side

2. Voters that may have stayed at home will get out to vote knowing that there is even more invested in this election with the seat open
Could be. I just think the $150,000,000 raised since RBG died tells a story about how amped up they are over this potential replacement.

If there’s no replacement to be had, it may kill liberal morale.

At 6-3, with the possibility of 7-2 within 4 years, that’s a game changer.

That reminds me of the time I was at my buddies house (back when I was around 15-16) throwing the baseball back and forth in his front yard (dont see that anymore) when this kid we knew who was about 12-13 years old comes driving by in a huge Cadillac with sunglasses on and his left arm hanging out the window trying to look cool

we both look at each other thinking WTF?

then the kid looks at us and tilts his sunglasses down and gave us the "Sup?

and then BOOM!

He runs smack dab into the back of a parked car

we both lost it, I cant remember laughing this hard since

It is a shame. Did he not use the words you wanted him to use?
I think booze feels Trump is first responsible for the deaths and secondly is just saying something but doesn’t mean it.

You totally missed the fucking point.

There is no remorse. And for a guy that said, verbatim, that it would just go away etc., he has totally botched it.

He is doubling down on the ignorance of his base. And judging by you, he's probably right.

But please, go on. Continue to think he has behaved in a proactive fashion.

The Woodward tapes were fake, blah blah blah.

All I know is when it first hit America projections were in the millions. I've known plenty who have gotten it amd been exposed now. Most with very mild symptoms.
That is irrelevant to taking control of it. It has affected all layers of business and you can't just blame it on an ideology.

He had the chance to be a leader and get in front of it. He failed. Miserably.

What else was he supposed to do? He got called xenophobic for even putting up a light travel ban vs China at the start of this. For people that claim Trump is a dictator yall sure do seem to want him to act like one. The President does NOT have the power to enact national mask mandates or shutdowns....may I suggest reading up on the 10th Amendment?

I don't think anyone would have succeeded to your standard in all fairness. America could have done better and they could have done far worse. I think in the end the virus hasn't been nearly as bad as people thought. I know something about this since my home town has now made national news more than once for not being careful enough. And yet we are doing great as a community despite the pool parties and massive biker rallies.

All the idiots have continually focused on the wrong things to keep the death toll down. What we needed to do was focus on protecting the elder population better. Old folks homes have been a much bigger problem with regards to the spread.

doesn't this mean we did things almost perfectly and that the number would have been much higher had we not? how does that reflect poorly on Trump, esp since Birx has always been complimentary towards him?

People still would have died. The only way to have really done better was to enact travel bans before it got here. Quarantine all of New York once it did.
