This makes me wonder if Dak or his agent have hinted to the front office he's considering holding out

Yeah, well, I fucking dare him now.
It would still work though.

The Joneses have given up way too much ground publicly.

Now, if they were a smart front office and did this, then Prescott and his camp would be shitting purple turds.

I replied in the other FA thread before this was created.

I dunno about “vindicated” but if McCarthy is serious about a SB run, it’s not often that you can get a QB who can really be expected to keep you afloat if your starter goes down for multiple weeks. We haven’t had one since Orton or maybe Kitna even. Most teams don’t have one because supply is so limited.

We now have one who could very reasonably be expected to go 3-2 or 4-2 if Dak goes out a month or month and a half.

This says they think they can win big this year.
He’s this teams Bernie Kosar

nah. no one wants to roll with Dalton for more than a few games
Dalton does have a pattern of lacking consistency but he's never had a receiving group like we have, not to mention the rb and ol

Or the coach.

Remember, they basically had the Garrett staff of the AFC.

Funny thing is I always told my Bengals fan buddy that Andy Dalton was a poor man's Romo.

Nothing in terms of playing style. Pretty similar in terms of overall results and frustration level.

dang, they were talking about how the odds of this were 9-1 and I was thinking I should put some money on that, I liked the chances given his FT Worth & TCU ties but failed to pull the trigger

Between Romo, Dak and Dalton, what’s the combined playoff record?
