ESPN's projection on who we should sign in FA:

NFC EAST
Dallas Cowboys: S Karl Joseph
2019 team: Raiders | Age: 26

There were rumors surrounding the Cowboys wanting to add Joseph at the trade deadline last season. That move never materialized, but now they can add him without having to send any compensation to the Raiders. Xavier Woods has played well at free safety for the Cowboys, but they could use someone like Joseph at the team's other safety position. Joseph is a player whose best role is in the box; he has picked up PFF grades between 67.6 and 74.5 in each of his four seasons with the Raiders, but he has earned a grade of 82.2 for his career when lined up in the box. They might not have pushed the button on the trade for Joseph, but it makes sense for Dallas to go after him in free agency.

And so inaccurate. But hey, gotta love the classics.

People don't want to talk about it, but Prescott has done less to put his teams in peril than Romo did.

Hate to say it, but it is true.

Prescott may not be elite, but he has yet to break everyone's heart as many times as Romo did with his mistakes over the years.
A fucking men to this

The Cowboys are likely to use the second-round tender on restricted free agent tight end Blake Jarwin, which should cost around $3.3 million, according to sources. The Cowboys spoke with Jarwin’s agent, Kelli Masters, last week at the combine about a potential long-term deal. Also, it appears the Cowboys will tender backup quarterback Cooper Rush, which would cost about $2.1 million. Both players were undrafted free agents in 2017.

Does anyone have a list of the Romo misfires that is moreso than Prescott’s or is this just a statement to try to substantiate an opinion?

I think it's pretty factual statement. Ignoring specific circumstances Romo threw a pick on 2.7% of his passes. Dak has thrown a pick on 1.7% of his attempts. Neither of which accounts for the timing of those picks though. Romo has lots of classic failure moments but he was in the league a very long time compared to Dak.

Nobody really talks about Javon Hargrave except literally everybody on this board. Some real in-depth sleuthing by Jordan "shitbird" Reid over here.

Thanks but but that’s hardly a lot less. Of a 1000 passes that would amount to a difference of maybe 10.

All you really need to know:

With a bye week victory in hand, Tony fails in what was perhaps his best chance at a deep playoff run.

1. L 21-17 vs. New York Giants (2007: NFC Divisional Playoffs)
10 of 10
  1. For the second straight year, Tony Romo turned in a miserable play with a playoff game on the line.
Down by four points with 16 seconds to play, the Dallas Cowboys faced a 4th-and-11 from the New York Giants’ 23-yard line. It was—and probably still isthe biggest play Romo has had in his NFL career.
Fittingly, he threw an interception, underthrowing Jason Witten in the end zone, allowing R.W. McQuarters to pick it off and send the Giants to the NFC Championship Game.

Nonsense.

Just blame it all on Patrick Crayton. Makes it easier.

Not by itself. What were the ramifications of the 10 picks? Who knows. Maybe something maybe nothing.
L 34-30 vs. Detroit Lions (2011: Week 4)
8 OF 10
You take your pick which one of Tony Romo’s interception touchdowns was the worse play.
He marched the Dallas Cowboys out to an overwhelming 27-3 lead against an undefeated Detroit Lions team before suffering a colossal choke.
First, Romo was picked by former teammate Bobby Carpenter, who took it 34 yards for a touchdown. Minutes later, Romo was intercepted by cornerback Chris Houston, who took this one 56 yards for a touchdown.
The Lions went on to win by four, sacking Romo late in the game to preserve the victory.
