Without the second tag I always thought this was the most likely scenario. I just hope the deal comes in around 18.5-19/year, because ultimately there's no way this guy deserves more than Michael Thomas.

You put the transition tag on Cooper and I bet a team comes in and offers him 20+. Then you can either match or let him walk for nothing. It's why I hate the transition tag. There is at least one NFL team willing to give an excessive contract.

I have more faith in his contract getting done quickly than I do Dak’s. Regardless of that piece of the pie shit Jerry is always talking about, even with Dak’s contract we can sign Amari. I love what he has done so far, the nagging injuries are a concern, but he seems to be a craftsman who will play hurt, and is otherwise quiet.

Provided we resign him, well worth the cost in my opinion.

I agree. And I love that Cooper and Dak have such a great connection. I think they both make each other better on the football field.

While I may have my reservations about Dak, no one could deny what he has with Cooper. His route running ability alone stands in stark contrast to what Dez and Dak had, which was next to no chemistry or timing whatsoever. He is a legit number one, and if letting Jones walk means we resign him, then it’s money well spent.

After witnessing last year’s circus, I can’t see Bennett, Cobb, or Quinn at all motivated to return.

I guess Cobb could have his old coach... unfortunately that doesn’t stop the circus and everyone knows it

I think Quinn is going to look to cash in one last time. He had a great season and this is his last chance to cash in at his age. I'm guessing he is going to chase the money in free agency.

Bennett has always been a hired gun.

And I think Cobb wants to stay but sort of like Quinn he had a revival season. He is probably looking to cash in one last time. He will at least want to test free agency and see what he is worth.

I couldn't give two shits if Bennett walks, but I want Quinn to stay. And, I would offer him a fairly hefty contract to get him to stay.

Quinn would be a bad re signing. He played through a contract year and will revert back to the injured mean next year
