Ayuh or feh. Jerruh announces Garrett wont be returning on Massacre Monday, Dec 30th
Knowing that Jerry's a bit of an attention whore, I'm going to say the Cowboys wait until Wednesday to make a decision. That way all the buzz from the other coaching changes will have died down and all the attention will be on the Cowboys.

So no on there being a Black Monday firing in Dallas.

Without question. Jerry Jones will not share the spotlight. Gotta get that relevance.

What a waste of so many careers.

Romo, Witten, Dez, Ware (lucky that the Cowboys went against his wishes and cut him or he too would have nothing to show for his career).

And while these guys (Dak, Zeke, the O-line, etc.) are young enough to still do something, you just can't be so cavalier with the prime years of NFL athletes because it can all end in an instant. And yet, Jerry Jones was willing to throw away all their best years simply to appease his own ego and seek the sort of credit and recognition that never was going to come his way even had the Cowboys won a Super Bowl doing things their unorthodox way.

I don't get how there aren't more current and former players upset with Jerry Jones the way Troy Aikman is.

What a shame.

Well said.

Sentimentality will be the death of us. For far too long, way too many players and coaches have been comfortably ensconced with no threats of losing their jobs. Hopefully that changes next week.
That's why Awuzie being benched yesterday was such a big deal. It was so out of character for this coaching staff to actually hold a player who is an established starter accountable for their mistakes.

It's no wonder why the effort is so inconsistent and lazy from week to week. Guys just show up when they want to and there's no fear of putting bad tape out there or getting called out during film sessions.

Witten dropped and easy pass on 2nd and 14 yesterday that would have made it a manageable 3rd down. He’s slow, he’s not as dependable anymore, and he is not even close to the best TE on the roster.
But yet the fucker is always on the field.
He also whiffed on a block that resulted in a loss on a running play.

Fuck. Spotlight.

Jerruh is gonna hold four pressers minimum, isn’t he?

One next week to announce he’s weighing his options. One in Jan to announce Garrett’s new role as a Transition Consultant and Operations Manager.

Dragging this Indiana Jones crusade to find the Perfect Coach, A third presser in early Feb to announce he’s close to hiring a new coach and fourth in fucking March to introduce him.

Well thank goodness Jerruh is GM so there won’t be a delay in Draft preparation or free-agent signings to leave us gasping for air at certain positions *cough* Dez Bryant late release and Witten draft day retirement.

I could have said "and with pdoms anal plugs he got from the White elephant gift exchange"
Package came with three, each increasing in size. I guess that means skill level.

They probably don't feel comfortable criticizing guys who they consider friends (Garrett & the Jones family). Everything I've read suggests that Garrett is a great guy and Jerry is fun to be around, but that doesn't mean you're good at your job.

I also look at it like this. I'm more critical with people and point out their mistakes when I care about them because I want to see them succeed and don't want to see them get in trouble. If I don't care about you then I'll let you continue screwing up without interjecting; hoping that you'll eventually be fired or replaced.

Guys like Irving and Emmitt aren't doing Jerry or Jason any favors by heaping nothing but praise on them. They need to hear from those inside their inner circle that they're f'ed up. It's harder to dismiss criticism from your inner circle.

I think I’m one of the few that doesn’t have a problem with Witten and his playing time.

He’s not 26 anymore, but he’s not a bum either. He’s made some plays this year, and the TE position as a whole has been very good compared to last year, and he’s contributed to that I’m sure.

There are plenty of issues with the team, Witten and his playing time/ability comes in somewhere about 20th on the list of shit wrong with this team.

Jarwin seems to make more plays than Witten. That drop yesterday was heinous.

Thing, though, is they’re ex-players, not peers.

Then Jerruh surrounds himself with his kids who’s complaints are dismissed annoyances like a father telling his kids to shut up while driving their station wagon on a family road trip.

Jimmy Johnson was chased away decades ago.

Who else is left in Jerruhs circle - Larry Lacewell?

I get what you're saying but those ex-players are still part of his inner circle and have access to him. Guys like Emmitt and Irvin know what it takes to win and what right looks like. Jerry couldn't just dismiss them as know-nothing Joe Blow fans.

In the end Jerry's still going to do what he wants.
