I think this is the difference in the mental makeup of previous teams versus this one. There is no selfishness. No one asked to carry the offense (Romo). And, they are playing as a team because of it.
I think it's also a big deal that we have some dogs on the team now, along with a bunch of new faces that weren't here to be affected by past collapses.

Yeah, fuck you, Philly. FUCK. YOU.
I've never understood the idea that Romo plays poorly in the 4th quarter. His passer rating in the 4th is very high.

I think Mariota starts dropping closer to the draft, would not be surprised if he goes in the bottom of the top 10.

He will start dropping because he is not a "traditional" QB meaning can he run a pro style offense.
I can see that.

However, many of these teams are in such dire need of a QB that they may just bite the bullet and take him really high.

Gotta like this team for any outdoor game in January. Green Bay? Seattle? No worries.

@ Detroit? Hosting the Packers?

No thanks.

Still though, you cannot win in the NFL without a QB. One of the QB needy teams in the draft will take him in the top 5. Guaranteed.

Kneejerk Observation:
I don't think the gameplan was much different from our Thanksgiving ass-kicking - difference was:

1. Execution of Dez Bryant winning 1-on-1 battles. With our offense stymied in the 2nd half, Romo throws up two hope-and-a-prayer passes that we're fortunate Dez pulls down for 2 TDs.
2. Favorable penalties that turned 4th to 1st downs. Enabled us probably an additional ~15 points.
3. Of course, getting 4 turnovers and the defense sacking/INTing Sanchez in the final 5 minutes.
You're trying too hard not to be a homer.

"Hope-and-a-prayer" passes? Really?? Those passes hit Dez right in the hands.

I would take @Detroit. They are an overrated football team that inflated their record versus a terrible NFC South.

But Megatron would be a nightmare for us and we'd have our hands full keeping them off the scoreboard.

Still, I like our chances against any team not named Green Bay.....and even then, this season has been full of so many pleasant surprises that I'd be willing to give these Cowboys a chance against anyone.

I think after that panic draft with Locker, Ponder and Gabbert teams are being much more cautious.

Yes it could still happen but I don't think he will be considered a lock come draft time.

They will not.
I agree. Its going to be tough for Philly to win out. The same goes for us...but the advantage for Dallas is I believe Philly is a bit fragile right now, especially Sanchez.

Washington will blitz the shit out of Sanchez.

His numbers in December aren't that bad either. His win/loss record is the only number that suggest he's a choker. That's more of a team stat than a qb stat.

Damn...no kidding.

Its like someone cracked pdom's DCC password and took over posting.

Those passes were about as perfect as they could be. Even if you want to argue the first one in the endzone was a bit high, you can assume Romo knew Dez was going to go up and get it.

Hope and a prayer. Jesus.

This is what Eagles fans have been saying.

I guess it's their equivalent of Dexter Coakley and a 2nd or whatever.
Right. I'm not proposing the trade... I'm saying all the Eagles fans are calling in saying they can put together that deal to get up to get him.

I get what he is saying, though. Not so much about how the pass was thrown but at the time our offense was sputtering and then it seemed like they just said fuck it. Felt like they just threw it deep because the run game was stuffed and didn't know what else to do with it.

All you have to do to beat Detroit is have Brandon Carr shadow Megatron. I have no doubt he can pretty much single-handedly shut him down.#extremesarcasm

Yeah just said fit and threw it up there. The run setting up the pass had nothing to do with it.
