New "extended trailer" with about 2 seconds of new footage.

I don't dislike the dude that they cast as Quicksilver at all and it looks cool with him running, but X Men just did the character so well I'm sure I'll be disappointed with him.

Ya, I heard enough about Birdman to know I wanted to see it eventually.

Caught Interstellar last night. Long as hell and almost like watching 2 different movies.

The first 2 hours were interesting for the scientific aspects and what needed to happen but the last 30-40 minutes were weird as shit. There was a point to it, obviously and a good ending. But it almost lost me for a bit.
I thought for sure that the "being" communicating with them in the beginning was going to be his dead wife.

I honestly didn't have any idea who or what was communicating, but I was interested. I didn't dislike the reveal at the end either, it was just weird for a longer time than I expected. After having a little more time to process it, it was a solid movie.

Kind of a cool coincidence...Birdman was nowhere in the Omaha area, now it is at multiple theaters. Word of mouth is spreading.

Is Crossbones going to be in the Avengers, or are they waiting until the Captain America: Civil War? Frank Grillo is cool and should be in more stuff.

Crossbones does assassinate Steve Rogers in the comics, leaving a rehabbed Bucky to take on the Captain America mantle. Between that and Thor: Ragnarok, the end of this Marvel CU phase looks to be pretty grim.

Dumb and Dumber To was a fun watch. It was weird to watch comedy that was not maliciously funny...Hangover type stuff. This had moments, but it was more naive humor. It was fun to see them on screen again, not a great movie, but I did laugh some...so it was worth it.

Supposed entire plot for the new Fantastic 4 movie:

Reed is a genius convenience store clerk with Ben. Reed's parents don't care about him, and Ben's dad is abusive. They're good friends and have each other's backs. Reed writes a paper for community college on teleportation that attracts the attention of Dr. Franklin Storm, CEO of the Baxter Building research center.

Storm has a son, Johnny, and an adoptive daughter, Sue, whose father, Storm's old partner, died in an experiment gone wrong. Johnny and Sue are party kids, and Sue is particularly disdainful of science. Reed and Sue don't get along at first.

Victor Doomashev is a anti-social Eastern European computer programmer and hacktivist who calls himself "Doom". He hates the 1%, particularly Storm, whom he claims corrupts science for profit.

Storm uses Reed's paper to complete some equations on a machine to access another dimension, the N-Zone. Reed invites Ben to watch the machine being turned on. Sue and Johnny are also there. Doom manages to hack into the Baxter Building's servers and use a computer virus to damage the machine, which explodes. Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben are exposed to otherwordly energy and become mutants with powers that they can't control.

Storm takes them to the Baxter Building and creates containment suits for their powers. They begin to train. Reed and Storm also begin developing a way to revert the accident. Sue blames Reed for everything, but they eventually become friends and then a couple. Ben can switch off his powers when he's not in danger. Johnny changes colors based on heat intensity, and Sue has some borderline telekinetic thing. Reed is pretty much Reed.

Doom finds out that the four have acquired powers and becomes angry it's not him, so he comes up with a plan to break into the Baxter Building to access the N-Zone through the rebuild machine. As a distraction, he reprograms a bunch of stolen military drones, the "Doombots", to attack the building. The four come together as a team for the first time and save people.

Doom activates the machine and gets technopathy powers or something, basically energy blasts and making machines obey to him, and a fight ensues. The machine goes critical, and, in order to prevent it from exploding and destroying the city, the four push into it and Storm shuts it off.

There's a countdown before it reaches critical mass. Inside the N-Zone, the four battle Doom again, and manage to leave him trapped there after he disfigures himself soaking up too much power. The Four manage to escape, but Ben gets the blunt of it to protect Reed and can't switch back.

The machine is destroyed, Doom is gone, the four have learned to work as a team, and Reed vows to find a cure for Ben. And it ends there.

I just can't believe Marvel would change an origin story that completely, it just does not fit there MO.

They have been pretty faithful to the major tenants of the comics, just don't see them pissing off so many comic book fans.

I don't think they are. FF was one of the properties that Fox had for a time and I think this is them trying to retain it. Something to the effect of if they didn't use the IP for so many years, it reverted back to Marvel studios.

Although it is a Marvel comic this is made by 20th Century Fox...like X-Men. Sony has Spiderman too. Marvel needs all those properties back...although X-Men is not bad.

Yes, Marvel has nothing to do with the steaming turd pile that is the Fantastic Four movie series.

And Marvel does what it can to fuck with the X-Men movies. They still own like everything but the movie rights, so they won't allow Xmen toys or promotions at McDonalds or whatever. They are also killing off Wolverine in the comics just so new generations won't know who the hell he is if Fox still keeps making Xmen movies.

Here's a good article on the Fox/Disney war that is brewing.
