Seriously though...it is a tradition to play the anthem. So much has been taken away and it is a nice reminder of the great place we live. Kids can't even say the pledge of allegiance anymore in school...and tonight they celebrated with some active duty as well. Adds a perspective we sometimes forget.
My kids don't get the pledge. Haven't the last couple of years. Depended on what school and whether private or public, but it is definitely not part of their daily routine, regardless of where they have been.

Got mine finally today after a pretty big delay.

It's been sitting in the box all night staring at me. Just don't feel compelled to set it up.

Will get my PS+ card tomorrow and be ready to go tomorrow night.
Nice.

I am pleasantly surprised with Madden this year.

Go through the skills trainer. It's usually something I would completely ignore but it comes in handy this year.

Best Madden in a long time, IMO.

Much as I love the banter with you people and W/B Thorn, I can't stay awake with this snoozefest.

Later.

This is a good response. I just don't know not having grown up here.

I'm not a big fan of MLS, but if you're gonna be a fan of an MLS team, that would be the one.

The atmosphere in the Pacific Northwest is the only one that comes close to European crowds.
Orlando City, biznatch.

I have an English friend who said he actually admires the national pride and wishes it was more like that in England.

Different people have different perspectives.

It's pretty outstanding, compared to where it's been recently. Defense is fun, the AI is much smarter than it used to be in game management. The physics engine isn't perfect but it can be fantastic.

Highly recommend it, especially if someone has skipped the last few years out of disappointment. It's a big step in the right direction.

At the very least, signing the national anthem is a cooler and more grandoise way of signalling to the crowd to take their seats and the game is about to start than, say, a conductor coming out and yelling 'all aboard'
