Already down 1-0 in the series, the yankees are getting smashed by the Blue Jays in game 2.

Been a good sports day.

@bbgun

It took 10 years, but it looks like Judge is finally starting to carry his regular season success into the playoffs.

Unfortunately, I don't think your boys have the team to make the most of that this season, but in playoff baseball, you never know.

He'd been hitting for average but no power. Last night he finally came through in a big moment.

The Phillies were kind of screwed last night and if it was next year they could have challenged it and they would likely have won the game and we'd have game 5 tomorrow.

The umpire missed a 3rd strike call against a dodger in the 7th. That batter that should have been out but instead got walked wound up scoring the tying run. No more runs scored until extra innings.

How do I know it would have been overturned on replay (or called differently by a robot ump)?

The home plate ump apologized to the Phillies pitcher after the game for blowing the call.

Because that makes up for directly causing the team's season to end.

Robot umps. Now please.

What a way to lose and end your season though.

Bases loaded in extra innings with 2 outs. Weak broken bat grounder back to the pitcher.

Incredibly easy field for the pitcher but he flubs it. Fine. Pick it up and throw the runner out at first and you're still out of the inning.

Instead he throws a wild desperate throw to home that's way off target and ends the game and their season.

Even the catcher was telling him to throw to first. It was an easy out even after flubbing the ball. Even a perfect throw probably doesn't get the runner at home, but he had forever to get the batter at first. Just brain dead.

Yeah, I was watching the game yesterday at a bar with a buddy who's a Dodgers fan and he said the same thing as soon as the game was over.

"Why didn't he throw to first?"

Yep. WHY. :lol Just retarded.

After the game he said he didn't panic, he just thought it would be safer than having to wheel around and throw to first.

But when you look at the picture he had time to pack a lunch and still throw out the batter at first. Just dumb.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Milwaukee, Toronto or Seattle win it all, but you know the Dodgers will.
