Wasn't that hard to accomplish. I think thats 7 losses in a row. A few days ago I wondered if they would even win a game the rest of the way. 5 games left. Let's see if they lose out.
They won’t.

Mortgage your house and put it all on them to win the next two against the Twins.

I don't think the Rangers help is even needed as the Astros are in a free fall themselves.

I said that I didn't think they'd make the playoffs so this is going how I thought I would, I just thought the Rangers would be the ones to get that last spot.
Crazy how many contenders are in a free fall at the end. The Tigers had an 18.5 game lead on the Indians on the 8th of July. Now they’re behind the Indians and clinging to the last WC spot by 1 game.

18.5!

Holy shit!
Yep. The weirdest thing about it was how quiet the fall was. I think everybody just expected the Tigers to win that they didn't pay attention.

I mean, in one way I agree with him, because back in the day you heard about players not even missing games for their own kids being born.

But now, players miss all the time for different things, so it's not that way anymore.

The NBA postponed lots of games over shithead George Floyd, but missing a game for a close friend's memorial service is a bridge too far apparently.

I dont either but its just testing the waters for streaming ability for other stuff that we do watch
Yeah, I hate this shit.

Again, a stream is not a reliable enough source for live sports broadcasting, not to mention that it's anywhere from 30-90 seconds behind live TV.

And if all of that wasn't bad enough, it's driving up the price of all those steaming services to the point that it's costing way more than cable and satellite because you have to subscribe to numerous ones now if you want to be able to watch all the various sporting events that used to be available via one central service.

This sucks.

Yeah, this Astros team needs some turnover.

They completely choked it down the stretch.

I know they had a ton of injuries, but they should have beaten the A's and Angels.

Mets, whoo boy.

Pitching fell apart about 4 months ago but the hitting also went ice cold the last few weeks.

It's like @NoDak said a week or so back -- it's crazy how many contenders and teams with plenty of talent just completely went cold down the stretch.

I still love me some playoff baseball, and for that reason, I'm really looking forward to Red Sox vs Yankees.

Been too long since we saw that rivalry in the playoffs, so wind down the next few evenings with a few cold brews while I watch that series.

Can't wait. :towel
