Yes.Anyone else worried our defensive backs unit is going to be hot garbage? Between injuries and complete unknowns, I think it's a concern.
I think the bigger concern is no proven DTs that can hold up against a solid running attack.Anyone else worried our defensive backs unit is going to be hot garbage? Between injuries and complete unknowns, I think it's a concern.
Meh, I don't think so.Kind of random but does anyone else think the actual preseason games may mean more this year? A lot of times the coaches know everything they need to from practice, but I get the feeling this year with new coaches not knowing the players and all this emphasis on competition, performance in the games may mean more.
I advocated pretty hard for him two years ago, I don't think he's great against the run but having an interior rusher like him next to Osa would be impressive. Some salt to rub in the Mazi Smith wound:
3 picks later Saints take Bryan Bresee with 12 sacks already at DT. Now I have no idea how he is against the run, but he is good at something.
He's tall af as well and already has 9 pass deflections.I advocated pretty hard for him two years ago, I don't think he's great against the run but having an interior rusher like him next to Osa would be impressive.
Hard to make plays when Mazi Smith is getting shoved back 4 yards into you.So enough people are saying Shemar James is showing up that there may be something to it.

I think we have better LBers than we have had in awhile. I also fully believe that our defensive coordinator is a LBer whisperer. If there is one position I think that he is exceptional at getting the most out of it is LBer.So enough people are saying Shemar James is showing up that there may be something to it.
Major concern.
Yeah if Revel and Diggs were healthy I'd say zero concern. Might even be one of the better secondaries in the NFL. But without them it's a huge concern. Glad Elam has had a good camp. I'm feeling sort of OK about him but we all know camp stars can be massive regular season duds. So my confidence isn't great. And it gets pretty shitty after Bland and Elam. Hell even the Seat Belt is hurt. I'm quietly rooting for Israel because he looked good in like a playoff game or two. But that's nothing but a hope and prayer.Major concern.
I know it doesn't really matter, but I loved Murray's recent interview. They were pressing him on hitting Ferg too hard and he said it's hard in redzone with everyone so crammed together, etc. Asked if he felt bad, he said yes because it was my teammate... If it had been an opponent I wouldn't have cared one bit.I think we have better LBers than we have had in awhile. I also fully believe that our defensive coordinator is a LBer whisperer. Its also common for the QB to throw the ball in the hole between two defenders. It's common to get hit in practice, Ferg. You're not a qb with a red vest on. Toughen up.
I believe this has been the center of attention aside from the Parsons saga …. they were banking on Revel being healthy and in the mix …now that he isn’t … the fact they haven’t made a move to sign a veteran journeyman CB just shows their football IQ and the fact they aren’t serious about winning …Anyone else worried our defensive backs unit is going to be hot garbage?
