Kind of random but does anyone else think the actual preseason games may mean more this year? A lot of times the coaches know everything they need to from practice, but I get the feeling this year with new coaches not knowing the players and all this emphasis on competition, performance in the games may mean more.

I'm sort afraid of the opposite. Schotty made it pretty clear that he views having a new offense and defense means he doesn't want to show anything to keep his systems under wraps. Now personally I'd do the opposite. I'd use preseason to try to see what will or won't work. But I think you're going to see ultra conservative to the point that I don't even think they want guys like EZ showing their vast toolbox of pass rush tools.

I was thinking more end of the roster guys trying to make the team. In the past it seemed like making plays in games barely mattered, and now it might mean a little more. Maybe not, though.
