I realize it is animation, but The Wild Robot is excellent.

He wasn't even originally cast for that role, if I remember correctly. They had cast some other schlub as Hartmann and Ermey was just a technical advisor but they realized quickly that he would be perfect.

As an aside, did you know that the "Vietnam" scenes were actually filmed in East London, and that Kubrick had all of those palm trees shipped in and placed in specific spots he wanted them?

Yea it was Tim Colceri, who had a memorable but short role as the helicopter gunner: “GET SOME!”, and, “you just don’t lead ‘em as much”

Looks like Marvel is done. Latest Captain America getting savaged in reviews.
This could be part of it...

Captain America actor Anthony Mackie has said his hero character, "represents a lot of different things, and I don't think the term 'America' should be one."

Watched Blow Out (1981) last night. It was alright. Travolta's last decent movie before he sold out and did the talking baby films.

Is T2 better or worse than the original Terminator?

Is there a general consensus on this?
Watched them both recently and I think T1 is better. Darker, scarier, and I like Arnold better as the bad guy. Only thing better about T2 is the special effects, but it should have that, it was many years later and had a bigger budget.

Agreed. But T2 is still fun.
It is great. The special effects for then were a breakthrough. And the car chase scene with the crane was pretty cool. Excellent movie.

I do give the slight win to the original, though.
