Do you follow this account? Pretty incredible.
I think it is wild how republicans love tariffs now.
Next thing you know they'll be pro choice.
Stuff like Women's History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc. have been around for decades.
All those monthly observances were already in place in the early 90s when I joined the.
But I know the average citizen will just assume that Obama and the Libs forced this on the military within the past 10 years.
You really think people were rolling their eyes about this in the 80s and 90s?I don't think that's the point at all. Many people have rolled their eyes at all that since it's inception.

Oh, absolutely. There are a lot of things in the military that are completely voluntary. And oh by the way, none of the observances are mandatory. They are completely voluntary to attend.
Obviously it's impossible to serve in every organization, so I can only speak for the organizations I've worked with over the past 31 years and counting.Oh, absolutely. There are a lot of things in the military that are completely voluntary.
Of course, if you choose not to go, which is TOTALLY your right, we are going to need people to police the area. People to mow. People to paint. People to pick up trash. People to empty and inventory the connexes. Etc...
But, it's strictly volunteer.
Let me enlighten you what the typical "identity" observance looks like in military circles.Obviously it's impossible to serve in every organization, so I can only speak for the organizations I've worked with over the past 31 years and counting.
Huh?You think a bunch of single military folks are going to give up their free time to attend these things on their own? You think a bunch of married military are going to give up their free time with their families to attend these things?
My two employees would and do.Do you think a bunch of infantrymen or mechanics would rather take a two hour break to attend an air conditioned event with a free catered meal, or stay out in the hot sun working?
Then don’t bitch and moan when inflation hits and job losses happen. Tariffs are fucking vile, especially when taxation already exists. It’s theft on top of theft. Thanks, I will.
Not too worried about it. We have massive trade deficits with China, Canada and Mexico, meaning they need us way more than we need them, and will therefore be motivated to hammer out a deal. Trump tried this tactic last time and it worked. Meanwhile, the US economy will benefit from foreign competitors not taking sales away from domestic businesses.I think it is wild how republicans love tariffs now.
The mechanic bays we had in Ft. Hood were shaded and had big swamp coolers. And I doubt they are gonna bus infantry in from field problems for anything like this. And if they are NOT out on field training? Well, then they aren't out in the hot sun any more than anyone else.Huh?
Unless there are some that I am completely unaware of, they are ALWAYS Mon-Fri, during the duty day. These events do not interfere with Soldiers free time.
So let me turn it on you.

Is it ok to admit when you spoke for the entirety of 'military circles'?Sometimes it's okay to admit you misread the assignment.

Until the reality hits that the raw materials that we don’t produce are also impacted, which means that consumers don’t have the choice to pick alternative products; just like what happened the last time when he pulled this fucking stunt. Prices went up and stayed there. It’s irresponsible. It isn’t some “long game”. Trump isn’t smart enough for any of that. This is nothing more than his typical temper tantrum bullshit. And when it goes badly again, he’ll just blame someone else like he always does.Inflation hit years ago. This is the long game. The US is in a position of strength if you choose to weild it. I don't believe for a single second that we wouldn't win a pissing contest between us and Mexico/Canada. They will easily blink first.
As for inflation, I firmly believe that inflation is a hidden tax and I think steps are being done to correct it. Stepping up domestic oil production is one way and will yield potentially big benefits because the price of oil affects so much.
Tariffs are less of theft than direct taxes because you have no choice in taxes but you can choose to produce and or buy domestically. I don't think there's any ideal way for the government to raise money but if it's kept to a minimum that's best.
I do think this administration has a plan and I'm willing to be patient and let it play out. God knows the status quo, or alternatively whatever the frick the last administration was doing, wasn't working.
That's it, right there.I do think this administration has a plan and I'm willing to be patient and let it play out. God knows the status quo, or alternatively whatever the frick the last administration was doing, wasn't working.

You'd think that Covid would have taught us to make more of our own stuff instead of being at China's mercy, but you'd be wrong. Moreover, if we are seeking a fairer deal, how else would we get it? By asking? I mean, what other way is there? It may suck in the short term but benefit us in the long run. I'm willing to take the LT approach.
