I listened to a little segment of the 105.3 morning show yesterday talking about all this and at least Shan Sharif was saying how much the fans hate Jerry. That was nice to hear and not something I'm sure would have been said years ago.

The hatred of Jerry is deafening at this point. They can't ignore it anymore. It's part of the story.

30 years of futility will do that.

It is with us, but I feel like he's escaped the worst of it from a lot of fans. Seems to me like the older fans who remember the Jimmy days hate him, but some of the younger ones who don't remember those days think he makes mistakes but tries hard, etc.

Was good to hear the younger fans are realizing what he really is, and to hear the "Official Station" say it so clearly like that.

That's true but even outside of this place, I feel like it's been building over the years. Go on Twitter right now for example and there's a lot of Jerry hate.

Interesting... I heard Rapoport on 105.3 acting like he didn't even think the Bears interview was a serious one, almost like someone was doing Mike a favor. But he did think Mike would legitimately be in demand.

Though in fairness all they have to do is wait 5 days for his contract to expire
And they probably know the Cowboys will refuse it anyway. Rapoport said he knew, and the Bears knew, Jerry wouldn't let him interview while still under contract. That's the whole reason Jerry put that in the deal.

Jesus, after reading those choices I prayed for someone to show up and choke the fucking life out of me.

I can tell you both my boys hate him and understand what a shitshow organization Jerry runs. One is 24, the other is 32. 20+ years of losing, plus seeing the stupid comments and decisions eventually infects generations of fans.

It makes zero sense for Jerry to allow McCarthy to interview while he’s still under contract and there’s even a reasonable chance they will retain him

They couldn’t know that until they had at least one extended conversation, which only just happened.

And of course like the Jets and other clubs, the Bears now just have to wait less than a week.

My guess is we'll get news on a McCarthy 2-3 year extension sometime Monday, drag it out as long as possible just like the Dak nonsense.

I am hoping he moves on unless there’s significant changes made on the offensive coaching staff and personnel.

Zimmer, if he comes back, looked to be turning the corner on the D with what he had to work with. Really, if I was McCarthy and Zimmer the only way I agree to come back is by pinning the Clown Show down and tying aggressive FA acquisitions on the D side for Zimmer and O side for McCarthy.

That’s the only way we will see any improvement with PT and Rosie in charge….any coach worth having will need to tie a contract and personnel together because outside of that they aren’t spending the money or resources to improve.

I think any coach who tried that with Jerry, he'd just say see ya.
