Sharpe killing Guyton. Said best thing we did yesterday was bench him

Very harsh.

He got called for 2 huge penalties in the second half where he didn't do anything wrong whatsoever.
Yea, the false start was stupid but that stuff happens.

The holding call was completely ridiculous and the illegal formation happens 20 times a game with every team across the league and could've been called on Steele or either of our OG's as well, they just decided to pin it on him in that moment.

He's still raw and looks like shit at times but he's getting better, from what I could tell he barely gave up a pressure yesterday.

I noticed Mike seems to like Richards though. Just a tiny comment but that's my take on it. Said he played well last week also.

At the very least I think Richards starts somewhere next year, either for Steele or maybe RG.

For Steele would be great because that guy has looked like hot garbage this year. And he isn't going to get any better. At least with Guyton you know he is likely to only get better.

He's looked good as well but his ceiling is limited compared to Guyton.

If Steele looked like the pre-ACL version of himself I'd leave him at RT and keep Guyton at LT in hopes that once it clicks he'll be a near Pro Bowl type. Richards has a bit of a leg up right now because he has been in the league for a year and gotten a chance to build his body/technique, I'll be curious to see what Guyton looks like this time next year.

Unless we plan on actually doing fuck all in FA next year I think I'd keep Steele for one more year and have an actual competition at both the LT/RT spots between Guyton/Steele (RT) and Guyton/Richards (LT). You might be able to throw Tyler into the LT competition with Richards potentially shifting to LG.

I don't want to cut Steele and kill our depth just for Stephen to sit with his thumb up his ass during FA, although if we bring in a HC who demands making a legit signing or two I'd be fine with getting rid of him and banking on the youngsters.

Yesterday also proved that Dak never should’ve been re-signed.
Obviously Rush is nowhere near the top quarterback in the league, but the guy plays mistake free, he doesn’t wait until receivers or tight ends are open to throw the ball, and he knows how to move around just enough in the pocket without spazzing out to get the ball down field. He also does a great job of finding the open guy.
:lol

Come on, now. I realize this place is the hyperbole capitol of the internet, but let's not completely lose our minds.

The only difference between Sharpe, S. A. S., and Skip Bayless is that Sharpe actually played in the NFL. Otherwise, he's about as useless as the other two.
Hello there, glad you’re doing better.

That's the question of the day. That's not a good team.
I answered it already, they had a really weak schedule early on, had some weird luck, and I think it took the league a minute to figure out what they were doing with Daniels. Their offense isn't all that complicated but he's definitely a dynamic runner with some arm talent, so it took some figuring out.

It really doesn't take much to be a .500 team in this league, we're about to be damn near .500 after the Giants game, and 99% of the time they would be a 6-6 team even with a really weak early schedule.

I guess it kind of goes both ways but watching that game yesterday it almost felt like that should have been an easier win for us. 2 missed field goals. Blocked punt. Just really stupid mistakes. Almost in a bizarre type fashion.

But I get it goes both ways. The Skins gave up a return for a TD, missed 2 extra points. Just whacky as shit all around. But in the end we ran the ball decent with backups on the O-line and I thought the defense actually played pretty well. If not for the scrambles by their QB, Eckler and company were pretty well shut down.

Anyway, just such an odd game on such an odd season.

Maybe it's a recency thing, but I honestly cannot remember another season in recent memory like this one where you had so many teams with winning records around Thanksgiving yet they all seemed like frauds.

Washington and Houston are the first two that come to mind.

I think there are maybe 5 legitimately good teams in the NFL this year: KC, Buffalo, Detroit, Philly, and Baltimore.

Of those 5, Philly is overrated themselves and I give them no chance of getting to a SB. But it would be disingenuous to say they aren't "good", they're just one of many teams in the NFL this season that aren't as good as their record would suggest.

No, you're right. There are a huge number of terrible teams and very few really good teams this year. Not sure why but I think it's true.

I agree, KC Buffalo Detroit and Baltimore are the good teams.

I'm pretty sure that's what you said. I don't think you mentioned anybody else.
