I can’t help but agree ….the player turnover rate is surprisingly low for a team who hasn’t done it right for close to 30 years ..which means they are holding on way to long .The sad thing is that sometimes the solution is to trade those valuable players away for draft picks that have cheap contracts. If you don't want to spend money than stack your roster with as many players as possible still on rookie deals. Instead we never do that. We cling to those players for everything they are worth until they leave and we get nothing or almost nothing in return.
Our issue is organizational ineptitude. We draft well in general but squander the lifecycle of player’s contracts. We can’t trade because we lack the relationships and ability to negotiate. Nobody can ever justify dropping a first on Amari and then turn around and sell a quality player like a cheap whore. And that is the most recent example they have where they actually got something tangible in trade. The sad thing is that sometimes the solution is to trade those valuable players away for draft picks that have cheap contracts. You don’t value the comp picks? The sad thing is that sometimes the solution is to trade those valuable players away for draft picks that have cheap contracts. Said the Olawale’s of the world never …..You don’t value the comp picks?
Fuckin snake oil salesman.. shove that thumb up your ass like ya did all free agency long
We don't even manage to get that good of comp picks. They are always fifth, sixth and seventh round picks. We had a fourth once that I can remember. You don’t value the comp picks?
Yes, like a lot.Like a lot?
Is it just me or does anyone else think we end up third in the NFC east, since we're all in?

Don't get me wrong, I love having extra draft picks. But maybe try to maximize the amount of picks instead of getting the bare minimum. If you have too many star players to fit them all under the cap (I don't agree this is the case) then trade away a fucking star player for some high draft picks. Use those to go get cheap star players. This isn't rocket science. You've already basically said this team isn't competing for a Superbowl over the next two years. Why not speed the process up?
The upgrade in Fangio is counteracted by Moore becoming their OC.I think Washington would have to hit a HR at QB for us to finish 3rd. I'm not actually convinced that Philly has passed us to be honest, although their DC frightens and confuses me.
Joe Fan didnt catch that part. He/she/they think Jerry is 'all in' for winning. You've already basically said this team isn't competing for a Superbowl over the next two years.
The difference is at least Philly is trying. Presumably Jeffrey Laurie is not calculating roster decisions through the lens of of how they may affect his ancillary businesses. The purpose of an NFL franchise is to win games, not serve as a cash cow feeding investment decisions in unrelated businesses that deliver higher returns.I think Washington would have to hit a HR at QB for us to finish 3rd. Built in conflict of interest in separating these two concepts when the GM is also the owner/cash guzzlerThe purpose of an NFL franchise is to win games, not serve as a cash cow feeding investment decisions in unrelated businesses that deliver higher returns.
It's Fisher, so take it for what it's worth:
