I mean, I never thought we'd be really LA Rams or KC Chiefs style all-in, but THIS is what they thought they could pitch to us as all-in?

We are letting key starters walk, opening up more holes?

Biadascz wasn't a great player but god damn, what are we doing on the OL? Just gonna roll in Bass, Udoga, Richards, and Hoffman?

Like with Armstrong, gotta see the money.

Good roleplayer but is he getting paid like a good to very good starter?

Usually guys signing this quickly are overpaid. That's fine if they are top of the market players, but yeah I wouldn't break the bank for guys like Armstrong, Biadasz or Pollard.

If they don't plan on signing any FA's of consequence, and I'm not talking elite players, but signing 2-3 DJ Wonnum/Josey Jewell types, they might as well just work with Dak on a trade right now.

What's the point of BS'ing around next season with a 10-7 team just to presumably move on from Dak afterwards?

Homers are overrating what Bass and Hoffman did in that last game vs the shattered Skins.
Bass played well all season, including against the Jets very stout front 7 in week 2. I think he'll be at least a Biadasz-level player next season, although not at center presumably.

But yea, depending on the money they should've re-signed Biadasz or even Tyron so that you don't have too many holes on the OL.

Fair point but that's not "all in."

All in wouldn't be letting key starters walk and then essentially requiring the draft to find quality replacements. It's not like you are going to find a cheaper replacement for Biadascz in FA that will be less than he himself just commanded.

The team's problem is that it doesn't have any plan.

If your thing is not to overpay low-end starters, fine, but then fucking trade your QB and go full rebuild around Lamb and Parsons.

Instead the team pays certain players too much, refuses to part with others when it's clear they aren't useful anymore, and backs itself into this weird corner where it's too good to sell a rebuild to the fans but not good enough to get over the hump.

We are stuck in perpetual wild card playoff tier, and we are punishing the best coach we've had since 2006 for our lack of direction in personnel.

All-In....to ensure that Dak goes out.

Why is everybody all bent out of shape about "all in"?

Jerry says dumb shit all the time, and has been for many years. People here are always saying you can never believe anything he says. So why get all upset over it now? Were we supposed to suddenly believe him this time?

Yea, I think my evergreen post from a few pages back more or less sums up the situation:

Just to get out ahead of things since we all know what is going to happen over the next week or two, this is not a serious organization.

Of course they want to win but for a number of reasons they aren't desperate to win like most organizations, primarily because almost every other organization has front offices that come and go, whereas here everything is set in stone no matter the result.

McClay deserves plenty of credit but even his situation is a symptom of the larger problem that nothing changes no matter what happens.

So while we will likely have a good team again next year, just like we have the last few years, they just don't care enough or have the desperation needed to exhaust everything they have in trying to win. They'll tell you they're "all in" but anybody with a functioning brain can see it's really "all in", but only up to the point that Jerry/Stephen are comfortable, and no further.

They're fine being aggressive as long as it's within their comfort zone, and if they get a little worse going into 2024 but are still a generally solid team?

What's the big deal? They'll hope for the best and if it doesn't work out they'll move into 2025 with optimism like they do every year.

Because we want nice things and can't have them despite being the richest sports franchise on the fucking planet.

All depends on who we replace them with. If they expect Sam "Retard" Williams to step in for Armstrong, then be afraid.

Yep, that's the big issue they always struggle with. When they let Demarco Murray go for example. Great, don't pay that guy. But don't replace him with nothing.

They never learn though.

I like how the Eagles don't announce that they are all-in and instead just go sign a 25 year old DE to the biggest non-QB deal in history.
I like Huff but not for that much.

He's basically a souped up, younger Dante Fowler, a one trick speed edge rusher who looked good playing on literally the best front 7 in the league.

The Eagles are seemingly about to trade Sweat and/or Reddick, let's see how Huff looks as one of the top 2-3 DL on a roster.

DJ Wonnum and AJ Epenesa would be cheaper and arguably even upgrades, but they won't sign either I'm sure.
