Since for all intents and purposes FA starts in 12 hours, I'm going to say that a normal team under our circumstances would probably do something like this:

Re-sign Gilmore, Pollard, Hankins internally, and externally sign Eric Kendricks, Grover Stewart, Josey Jewell and DJ Wonnum.

Instead we'll get the Stephen blue light special of Leki Fotu, Oren Burks, Yetur Gross-Matos, Anthony Barr, Linval Joseph.
They still only have a few million over the cap. Goof Son better have some levers to pull to even do what you are suggesting.

He will. There are some shoes to drop in that aspect. Dak for example. Jerry and Stephen don't work weekends ok.

If they do nothing I hope it is because they are playing hardball with Dak.

Offer 43 mil per year since that is a nice raise over what the good QB market has been set at by Mayfield.

They already have nearly 9 million in space, I read cutting Gallup and designating him June 1 would open another 9 or so.

All they'd have to do is restructure Diggs or Dak, or extend Lamb (lol, idiots) and they'd have 30+ in space.

You know they will probably sign Lamb over the next two days and promote that as our big free agency signing!!!

Meanwhile we add no one new.

Extending him in the next few days would actually be useful, instead they'll sit on their hands and pretend they're negotiating like a bunch of dickheads just to end up paying him as much if not more on an extension sometime during TC.

Only so much pie, we just gave Lamb a butt load of money! We still need to pay Dak.

Nevermind that these things actually lower the cap figures. I can hear it in my head already.

What? You mean these fucking cunts are out floating around drunk during the start of free agency?
Where you been? They have been doing this for years at this time. I think even Witten and Romo joined them if I remember correctly.

If you expect a nice FA haul then you are literally insane. You know, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.
It's the price we pay for being successful.

Just to get out ahead of things since we all know what is going to happen over the next week or two, this is not a serious organization.

Of course they want to win but for a number of reasons they aren't desperate to win like most organizations, primarily because almost every other organization has front offices that come and go, whereas here everything is set in stone no matter the result.

McClay deserves plenty of credit but even his situation is a symptom of the larger problem that nothing changes no matter what happens.

So while we will likely have a good team again next year, just like we have the last few years, they just don't care enough or have the desperation needed to exhaust everything they have in trying to win. They'll tell you they're "all in" but anybody with a functioning brain can see it's really "all in", but only up to the point that Jerry/Stephen are comfortable, and no further.

Dumb tweet. Henry is 30 and the future is now. And whatever you think of Dak, he'll definitely be the QB in 2024.

I mean I'm not considering Henry a solution for more than a year or two.

Of course the flip side is if you don't really want Dak long term, now is not the time to add a Henry. It's time to go young, clear cap and prepare for a new world in 2025.
