I mean the talent was pretty well selected by Quinn. So if we lacked talent at LBer for instance part of that falls on Quinn. Not big enough on the Dline? Absolutely falls back on Quinn. The Diggs injury, sure those things are unpredictable. But he had to know LVE would likely get hurt at some point.
The Cowboys know how to draft LB’s made of glass ala Sean Lee and LVE

There was malpractice somewhere. So if you see Quinn to start playing his game with safeties, you will know. Then a smart organization takes his pets that he handpicked and don’t fit and dresses them up in skimpy camo bikinis and fish nets for trade.
I seriously doubt even Quinn likes Wright or Mazi or even Sam Williams enough to trade anything for them.

He loved them he would have played them more. I know everyone disagrees with me but I hope Zimmer can kick Williams in the ass and get something from him. He has talent.

Mazi I'm still so confused on.

Wright is just trash.

Don't confuse the disagreement. It's not that we don't want Williams to succeed. It's that we think he is too stupid to get out of his way.

Mazi is trash too. At least Wright tries, I guess.

Still can't believe no reporter, media guy, etc. has told us the real story with Mazi. We aren't the only ones who wonder - people around the team know and talk. They just don't want to tell us, probably because the news is so bad.

I don’t think the story is allowed to be told. Just like nobody told us his predecessor in Taco-bustdom was legit retarded.

They went with very smart players with handicaps, namely playing too hard. Dat Nguyen was the same way.
Good grief though, man. Dat was 25 years ago now. Not sure three players in 25 years is a trend.

And Dat and Lee were excellent players anyway.

He absolutely is which is why the ONE player Jimmy Johnson would never take a chance on is a stupid one.

There's no fixing that.

Williams and Mazi are either going to turn into reliable borderline starters by mid-year or wash out completely under a guy like Zimmer, I don't think there's any in between.

I'm not buying the LT FA talk, but FWIW, the tackles that have been mentioned are:

Mekhi Becton - Jets
Jonah Williams - Bengals
Michael Onwenu - Patriots

The what?

Why would we sign (AKA waste money on) a LT?

Even if we moved away from Tyron, it's a no brainer to just move Tyler Smith there.

Right now he definitely is trash. I think most rookies at least deserve a year to get their feet under them. But Mazi was beyond disappointing. Not just like, oh hey, he wasn't great. He was just totally useless. I struggle with that one because he seems like such a slam dunk to at least be able to hold the point of attack. But he couldn't do that. He was off balance far too much.

Yeah, if you're going to sign something you sign a guard. Much cheaper and easier to find. You found a legit LT who is on a rookie deal in the first round. Why would you go sign a shitty LT in free agency? Would make zero sense.
