Are you thinking perhaps a Miles Austin situation?Say that reminds me, we might regret that .

Absolutely agree Chris Jones will be their top priority… I’m just saying with Diggs back , Gilmore most likely to resign , Bland etc .. we are good at cornerYeah but I doubt KC is able to bring everyone back. Their top priority has got to be Chris Jones. He is one of if not the best DTs in the NFL.
That is an interesting question. When I get some time I may have to make a pass over that list. Guys that may be cap casualties that were holdovers from his Minny regime are who I would think fit the mold best. Harrison Smith comes to mind.Wonder what guys would be Zimmer guys? Besides Danielle Hunter who I think gets a big deal from someone after the season he just had. I doubt that's in our "price range"
In what way? I was more Gallup than thinking Austin. Are you thinking perhaps a Miles Austin situation?

I was thinking .. how Austin performed better than we thought and as soon as he got paid he was injured and that’s all …. Just pulled a disappearing act .. where I see Gallup as being almost the 4th look after Lamb, Cooks and Turd . His situation is he just doesn’t get many looks .In what way? I was more Gallup than thinking Austin.
Austin was about signing a guy whose hamstrings were ready to explode at anytime.I was thinking .. how Austin performed better than we thought and as soon as he got paid he was injured and that’s all …. Well… dumb signing here nor there .. just tired of paying clowns to not produce and retire on some fuckin islandAustin was about signing a guy whose hamstrings were ready to explode at anytime.
Is this where the exploding hamstrings started?Austin was about signing a guy whose hamstrings were ready to explode at anytime.
We are in a position of too much need to say no to any competent LBer. Is he really the leader at LBer we need, I doubt it, but he is sure as shit better than what we have at LBer outside of 2 guys, and he may very well be better than both of those guys.
Opinions on Quinn turned, like, record-breakingly quickPeople here said that, too.
Makes too much sense so therefore it will not happen.
I think we are smart enough here to connect the dots. He did a great job here but the flaws in his defense were exposed as well as the flaws in his coaching style.Opinions on Quinn turned, like, record-breakingly quick
There was a glaring difference in a lot of our opponents. We bullied the weak ones (except for the Cardinals) and semi-decent ones could throw and run and the good ones snickered and proceeded to shred them.I think we are smart enough here to connect the dots. I think it underscored a lack of talent more than Quinn himself, but it was time to move onThere was a glaring difference in a lot of our opponents. We bullied the weak ones (except for the Cardinals) and semi-decent ones could throw and run and the good ones snickered and proceeded to shred them.
I mean the talent was pretty well selected by Quinn. So if we lacked talent at LBer for instance part of that falls on Quinn. Not big enough on the Dline? Absolutely falls back on Quinn. The Diggs injury, sure those things are unpredictable. But he had to know LVE would likely get hurt at some point.I think it underscored a lack of talent more than Quinn himself, but it was time to move on
Quinn certainly had influence (Sam Williams in particular), but responsibility for landing poor talent in the draft and not prioritizing DL enough rests mostly at the feet of scouts and GM respectively.I mean the talent was pretty well selected by Quinn. Yeah, Brandon Carr.I mean last time we went all in for free agency we did sign a Chiefs corner to what was a big contract at the time.
But if I remember correctly he certainly wasn't the corner I had hoped for that offseason. I remember thinking, why the hell are you spending that much money on him when you could have xyz. He was a good player though.
There was malpractice somewhere. So if you see Quinn to start playing his game with safeties, you will know. Then a smart organization takes his pets that he handpicked and don’t fit and dresses them up in skimpy camo bikinis and fish nets for trade.I mean the talent was pretty well selected by Quinn.
