I'm glad he addressed the idiotic rumors that he refuses to play at LB and only wants to rush the passer.

I do think he's sincere that he wants to win more than anything.
He also is getting shit for not taking accountability. My thing is that it is never just the scheme. It is the player confidence in it a little bit. You can’t say Quinn had that game plan anything but fucked.

Might be a sign he thinks Quinn os out the door... Throwing him under the bus a bit.

To play devil's advocate for a second....wtf was Quinn supposed to do when teams go big on offense? Players he has to work with have no size to combat it. Hankins old...Mazi bust...best LB left is a safety. Planet theory at work.

I mean Quinn wasn't some helpless fool when putting together the defense. He was the one who picked all the safeties as opposed to some big guys at final cuts. He is the one pushing to draft guys like Fehoko who played almost zero for us.

True. Almost no size anywhere but safety. Tweeners on DL contribute to problem.

You're not wrong but I don't think that's what got us beat. We had opposing receivers running wide open in the secondary. We didn't have enough pass rush. We fell for their misdirections just about every time.

Small guys flying to try to fill holes and make plays before much bigger men get their hands on them will be prone to teh trickery.

Yeah, last year he begged for Mazi and was overjoyed when he got his guy.

So maybe STFU and play football instead of GM?

Maybe if we had a real GM he would know to do that.
I think Rich Eisen said it perfect the other day. Jerry and Goof have been playing fantasy football with this team forever now. You want proof?
How many of you who play fantasy football hire someone to pick your players?

It is kind of weird how Parsons went from following Quinn to suddenly feeling misused.
That's what I'm talking about. You have one of the better DCs in the league, and he caters to you and moves you around more than anyone to get you favorable matchups. It's not like you're misused or ignored. Just play better.

If he were dominating late in the year and in the playoffs, I'd probably give him more leeway. But even then it isn't a good example to be blaming someone else instead of yourself. The problem in that GB debacle wasn't missing a player or two, it was heart.

11 will never be a consistent force late in the year while rushing QB full time. He just won't.
