We’re in bad shape up front for sure. Not what we want before the playoffs.
Hell, not what we want before Jonathon Allen and Daron Payne
I agree and totally get how and why we're here, I just think it sucks. I'm hoping we can get one last six week push from Martin and Tyron.Assuming Tyler comes back for the playoffs it's really no different than it's been most of the year. It's not perfect but we should be able to get by. Actually even if Tyler doesn't come back they should be able to get by if they don't lose anyone else.
The best explanation is that certain offensive coaches/system designers do a better job of building and coaching the intricacies of line play into, and within their system. This is a particular strength of Shannahan and his coaching tree where the OL movement on runs and passes are married up and make it hard on the defense to get a clear read on whether it's run or pass.I agree and totally get how and why we're here, I just think it sucks. It feels like we can't develop complementary OL talent without spending 1st round picks. Biadasz is fine I suppose, though Steele may never return to his pre-injury form. Bass has some highlights though he also seems to miss quite a lot too.
I look at the 49ers and they have put together a bunch of 2nd-5th rounders and castoffs with Trent Williams. They are not great by any stretch, but they fit what their team does.
Maybe the best explanation is the team screwed the pooch stocking RB this year.

It's pretty suspicious, though, that the best OL and the best LB we can find are players who used to play here. This guy is way overstating the situation. They need a body with Tyler going down. This is about the best Olineman currently available.
That's it. It's not complicated.
CD seems to go in spurts. He disappears for large chunks of the game it seems like. Don't know what the disconnect is but maybe that is affecting this take.I don't feel like Lamb's season has been as dominant as some of TO's better years. But the numbers say I must be misremebering.
Lamb is a lot more subtle. When Owens scored a TD, you really knew it.I don't feel like Lamb's season has been as dominant as some of TO's better years. But the numbers say I must be misremebering.
This is true as well. Other than the nose wipe he isn't as in your face.Lamb is a lot more subtle. When Owens scored a TD, you really knew it.
Sort of like giving himself a dirty Sanchez. This is true as well. Other than the nose wipe he isn't as in your face.
And because of that, I think it's easy to miss just how good he is after the catch. This is true as well. Other than the nose wipe he isn't as in your face.
TO was more physically imposing which may be why. Lamb has big games though where it almost doesn't feel like it. You just look at the stat sheet and suddenly you realize he has 100 plus yards already. Our entire passing offense obviously feeds through Lamb. Reminds me a bit of the Irvin days where every time you needed a play it was going to Irvin.I don't feel like Lamb's season has been as dominant as some of TO's better years. I have noticed that the nose wipe has been replaced with the Brandin Cooks arrow shooting thing. This is true as well. Other than the nose wipe he isn't as in your face.
I wondered why they were both doing that. Then again we only see the Cooks arrow about every 4th game.I have noticed that the nose wipe has been replaced with the Brandin Cooks arrow shooting thing.
TO seemed to get better separation than lamb does. He also had Romo throwing to him so there is that.I don't feel like Lamb's season has been as dominant as some of TO's better years. But the numbers say I must be misremebering.
This sums up my feelings on LC.
Might be better than fucking Steele has been in all honesty.
